Remarks

This college is one of the best engineering colleges in the entire region, The management and faculties are very supportive and one could get better career if one focus on his study well.

Entrance Preview

I took the Kerala state Entrance examination that is KCET and scored a rank of 2300. Gopalan college of engineering and management (GCEM) was then the leading Private College in Kerala and luckily I could get a seat with the score I had.

Placement Experience

College provides very good placement opportunities by organizing campus drive held by Training and Placement cell, some of the companies were Ericsson, Infosys, IBM and Trident.

Hostel Facilities

During my Engineering, I have stayed in the hostel. The accommodation and food provided are best in standards. The rooms would be cleaned on a daily basis. We had a gym and internal games room. Starting from our early morning coffee, we used to be provided with delicious food.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is very good, they come time to time to meet faculties and we get a chance to know how it is going on in the college.

Faculties are very supportive, they help us in every direction of academic excellence and also in extra-curricular activities, I still remember some teachers, who helped us a lot are Mr. Sri Nivasan and Mr. murali Narasimhan.

Likes

Facility is very qualified. Faculties from IIM are also there. They are very friendly. They gives us extra support and mentorship after class also
College infrastructure is also good. Full of greenery amd calm environment and location is aldo good.
Placement is also good. And ROI is also good as per the fees.

Dislikes

The schedule is very hectic. And hostel timing is also short for returning.

Placement Experience:

Placements are also there 240+ recruiters come for campus placements. Average package is 8 to 9 lakhs and highest package is 17 lakh. We have Industry trajectory programme with big 4 like Kpmg GT etc

Isme campus life review

Likes

We have good faculties, who are very friendly and approachable
Study matarial is also very helpful, we are getting enough information and learnings we want
Corporate exposure of this college is amazing...we are getting good internships related to our feild

Placement Experience:

240 recruiters come to this college....we have industry trajectory program, placement oriented term, mock interviews, workshops. We have average package of 8pla and highest package is 17 lpa. We have career opportunities cell which prepare you for summer internships and final placement. In ITP students get stipend between 25 to 40k.

Great learning exposure

Likes

Infrastructure, facilities , diversity , good for networking and banglore is a corporate hub so it's getting easy for to experience corporate speakers.
Hostel facilities, food facilities for students for those who are living in hostels.
And how they prepare us for the corporate world .and the faculty ratio in 1 :12 over there so small batch size leads to better concentration on students .

Dislikes

Timings of hostels for food and go back to hostel time

Placement Experience:

So in the isme the placements are 100% there are lots of companies visited for mass hiring and the average package is about between the 8lacs and 9lacs from the 5 semester we are eligible for the campus placement

Overall a good experience

Likes

Faculty is very approachable very helpful
Diversity in culture and small batch size so that everyone gets the opportunity
On campus hostel is very convenient there are 50% girls so it’s save

Dislikes

80% attendance is mandatory very disciplined
Every time you have to wear formals and timing of hostel is very strict

In the isme we all getting the opportunity to interact with companies and in isme we have trimesters so from 5 semesters our placements will start and there are good numbers of companies comes for placements and they offer good amount of packages

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

I chose this college by mistake as this college is mentioned in top 10 colleges in Bangalore or top 20 in some sites... The facilities are shit and I didn't know about it before I came to this college. Admission process is simple and doesn't take much time. Eligibility is to have atleast 45% in PU or boards. They accept comedk, Kcet and has a management quota admission as well. Cutoff are none even if u have 1 lakh rank in comedk u can get ISE in the college....Read More

which nobody would like to tell

I attended an exam called kcet which was very helpful for me to get government seat. My rank was 37,125 cut off for the 1st round was 40k and wheb it came to 3rd round it was around 60k for cse but for the other department cut off was about 50k in the 1st round itself, since cse is bit in demand people were intrested to join because of government seat and easy cutoff. But now juniors admission is increasing and cutoff too....Read More
