Remarks

The total seats are 120 though more than that are allowed under the hood. Everything is available on the official website regarding the admission process. Admission is easy to get. SC ST and TFWS have reservations too though I didn't avail that. So far admission process is easy so no improvement needed still some processes can be digitized.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course as I thought there are many opportunities after completion. There are quite good amount of faculty by ratio I would say approx. 1:10. All faculty are masters and above but some of the teaching faculty would need some improvement, they are knowledgeable but not suitable for teaching. We get exams every 1.5 months before semester.

Placement Experience

3.5

Semester 7 will make you eligible for jobs but you can not go outside Mumbai. There are lots of companies visiting about 10 to 15 approx. Some of them are Nimap, gyro, TCS and L&T. About 60% get average 3.6LPA package and only very few get higher than that. 80% students gets placed by college. I plan to start my own venture after college.

Fees and Financial Aid

EBC forms are accepted but are not processed at all. If you belong to SC ST or apply under TFWS under Mahadbt then its okay. Fees usually hike about 1000rs. Jobs are below decent though some good companies also hire, average packages is 3.6lpa highest being 10LPA.

Campus Life

3

There are some social group and clubs in college but you need to pay for them, they are not included in fees. Only free club we have is Aao Code Kare that too is maintained by us outside the college as it is not in campus. We have VYRO as tech fest conducted mostly in summer and Aurora as cultural fest conducted in mid winters. Library is vast and you will get your course related materials and some magazines too. College lack good amount and quality of sports equipment's and has no proper ground for it. Classrooms can accommodate 55 to 60 students easily and each classroom is fan only which electricity is not available a lot of time and generators are not mostly available either.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
