Remarks
Overall I would say that this university is good for the cheap degree program. It's on the student to make their career with limited resources.
Entrance Preview
RPET Exam and AIEEE Exam for entrance. Many colleges under this university accept direct admissions as well. Cheap tuition was the only reason to choose this university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is pretty good. The first 2 semesters stays the same with all streams of the engineering. The third semester allows you to take electives. The course is however not up to dated and lacks latest in-demand technologies. The courses do not help for in-depth technical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
College does not provide internship but you have to find on your own. You will feel lucky if the companies are willing to give the stipends.
Placement Experience
Placements and Job opportunities range quite widely depending on the student. Good offers range from 3.5 lacks to 6.0 lakhs. College does provide some opportunities but they are not good enough. Students are on their own to look out for jobs. Companies like Infosys and TCS come to campus.
College Events
The events include annual fest and fresher party. Other than that there are several events depending on the fund and politics in the university. They are organised on the university level and college level as well. It depends on the funds available. Sometimes they are worth taking a part in.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite straight forward and cheap compared to other universities. The Tuition fee changes every year depending on the increment it's around YEAR 1 ₹77,500 YEAR 2 ₹70,000 YEAR 3 ₹70,000 YEAR 4 ₹70,000 PROGRAM GRAND TOTAL₹287,500 Apart from it, there are exam fee ranges from 1000 Rupees to 2000 Rupees. The tuition fee waiver is given to students below minimum income level decided by the university.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available in different categories. Chances depending on the reservation and government schemes specific to either caste based system or extremely poor income background.
Campus Life
The gender ratio in engineering would be 10:4 for Men: Women. This campus is not fancy as other universities. The student needs to be self-motivated and focussed to his/her own development. There is some events year around but chances are that they are not as good. Students can always look for better events in other universities.
Hostel Facilities
The university/college hostels are not as good and it is expected to a government-owned college. The rooms allotment are generally sharing for first-year students and single rooms are not easy to get into. There are several private hotels and PG's available nearby. Students opt to live in rented house for better facilities. It ranges from Hostel: 30,000 - 50,000 /year PG: 35,000 - 90,000/ year Rented House(Shared) 60,000 - 1,20,000 /year
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is strong and mostly based on personal connections. University/college is not really keen to draw network, jobs and money from Alumni as they get funding from the government.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is common as other colleges. They are hectic in the schedule. The thing to notice here is results takes time. Sometimes semester result may take more than 6 months to be declared. There is no good provision that who will grade your answer sheet.
Admission
Score in RPET or AIEEE and fill out the form to start the admission process. Once the result is out you can report to Univerisity for further admission process. They will publish details on the website. Just follow the details and it's easy to fill out forms.
Faculty
The faculty is quite experienced in most cases. However, They lack the willpower. Some faculty are not interested in teaching the course. The internal politics do not allow them to go out of their way to produce good students. It is upon students to make the most of whatever is available around.
