Remarks
The admission process is really good but lengthy. First of all, I cracked the jee main exam and then apply to josaa counselling there was seven round and I got the college in the first round. After seven rounds complete the college email me about the documents they need and admission fees if your family income is greater than 5 lakh. After all of this, I got admitted to the college. If your family income is greater than 5 lakh then your 1st sem fees will be 104800 rs and your 2nd sem to 8th sem fees will be 76300 rs. If your family income is less than 1 lakh then the tuition fee which is 62500 rs is waived. And if your family income is between 1 to 5 lakh then the tuition fee is two third waived. And for sc st, the tuition fee is 100% waived
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is too good. I choose these courses because I am very curious about electrical devices how they work and how they are made etc. The faculty-student ratio in this college is 1:6. The faculty members are well-educated many of them have completed their PhD degrees. And all the faculty members' teaching method is good I can say. To pass the exams is not very tough but if you want a good cgpa then you have to study hard not like jee but good enough.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year itself. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Microsoft, etc. are coming to our college and offering placements to the students studying in nit Durgapur. The highest package for the mechanical engineering branch is 9 LPA in the year 2021. Nearly 60% of students are placed in college and the rest are placed after a college degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is divided into 3 parts type A if your family income is greater than 5 lakh, type B if your family income is between 1 to 5 lakh, and type c if your family income is less than 1 lakh. For type A students 1st sem fee is 104800 rs and the rest of the sem is 76300 rs. For type C students and sc st, students the tuition fee (62500 -/) is 100% waived, and for type B students the tuition fee is two third waived. Along these, there is a mess fee which is 120 rs per day. I got the swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship which is for only west Bengal students and the amount is 60000 rs.
Campus Life
The campus life is really good. In the afternoon you can go to the oval ground and play any sports you want there is a basketball court and tennis court and many more. There are many fests like Aaron, avishkar, rectacy, etc. There is a central library where you can find many books and journals. And there are about 20 clubs in the college you can join to enhance your skills.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility in the college is good. Every room there are three numbers and has three beds for each. The combined bathroom facility is there for the students, The meal quality is not up to mark improvement is necessary for the meal quality. Coming to the menu it was good, The registration process for the hostel is easy a simple application is needed to be filled out first and then payment of 20000 should be done. No person is allowed to stay outside the hostel
