Remarks

the admission process was completely online due to covid upsurge. It was purely merit basis then. the marks of 4 subjects were considered to calculate the merit and applied to the cutoffs later. we have to apply for the eligible cutoffs of our aspired colleges. there would be a minimum of 4 cutoffs released from September on weekly basis. And later there would be special cutoffs for the candidates who failed to secure seats during previous cutoffs. The whole admission process should be needed to understand carefully. Even though the admission process on a merit basis changed into an entrance exam the process of cutoff is the same. The application form for all colleges of Delhi University can be found on the official website of DU after the release of the 12th results. application fees would be 250rs. reservation benefits can be availed for obc, sc, st and PWD, etc categories. Before the admission process was in a physical mode where students have to come to college was difficult but now it's online

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Iam very much interested in political science as well as history. to be honest I chose this college in the 1st cutoff itself as I was eligible for the given cutoff. the cutoffs were less comparatively. faculty is well experienced and trained. it follows an ideal faculty-student ratio of 1:45 The Delhi university faculty are well educated and experienced mostly they are Ph.D. holders who have a lot of knowledge, one of the reasons why I chose DU. exams were held every 6 months timely. for 1st year it would be 3 months as classes start in November. All courses are not easy, some need determination and focus and for some listening and reading the class notes is more than enough to pass the exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

larynx, good trips, and there are a lot of internships. in the case of internships, DU IS THE BEST WHICH PROVIDES WIDE OPTIONS. internship for only experience and with stipend are well provided. I did not join any internship as I was busy with UPSC preparation and other co-curricular activities. And WhatsApp groups as well as the college's official website make us easy to get the details of the internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

As I opted for Arts there is less scope for placements with high stipends, but still, you can get a decent employment opportunity. there is a lot of scope for the development of your skills and acquiring new skills in the college itself which can make you get a placement easy. 60% of students get a placement. my main goal is UPSC so my plans would be connected to my main goal. iam thinking of doing a master's in history.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure is very economically friendly and affordable for all classes. You can get financial aid and scholarships also. Just you have to fill in the required fields and provide the needed documents when the college releases the notification.

Campus Life

4

fests are conducted every year. and so many workshops as well as events. You cannot doubt the library at all in the whole DU Campuses. They are well equipped with books covering all subjects which it provides. to be honest the library is the most peaceful place for me. every college of Du has a special sports club devoted to sports. wdc, debating society, adventure club, and a lot more societies. Classrooms are well equipped and free.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
