Remarks

I gave JEE Mains to get admission to the college. Everybody needs to give JEE Mains and based on the rank you get admission into this college. Application forms, fees, and dates can be found on JOSAA because admissions are handled by JOSAA since it is a Centrally Funded Institution. The admission process is very smooth and you are informed beforehand if documents are required. Reservation benefits can be availed very easily. Sports, defense, SC, ST, etc. reservations are present in PEC. The admission process is one daily thing. You just need to verify the documents. You have to physically present at the college for the admission process. Various courses were available like B.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Metallurgy, and Materials Engineering. I want to see improvements like no. of seat lefts filled, no. of seats left, no. of seats reserved in every branch of every course.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose this course because I liked physics and my rank was not good to get me into Computer Science. The faculty-student ratio is 1:30. Almost each faculty member has done MTech and many have got Ph.D.. Exams are held two times a semester. Marking is very strict. You can pass if you study one night before but you'll not get good grades. Getting good grades is not easy here. Few get 9 pointer CGPA at the end of the course. Professors don't take much interest in teaching. So most of the time we're watching NPTEL videos to clear the exams.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Big companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Jp Morgan, Mckinsey, and Deloitte came for Internships and offered likes SDE, Analyst, and Junior Analyst with stipends in the range of Rs 50,000 - Rs 1,20,000 per month.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Companies start visiting colleges for placements in August. Big companies like Atlassian, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Bain, and Mckinsey visited the college and made a total of 150+ offers. The highest package was offered by Atlassian at Rs 83 Lakhs per annum for the SDE profile. The average package offered is around Rs 7 lakh per annum. Around 60% of students are placed till Now. I will do a job for 2 years and then pursue MBA in Finance.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees can be increased by 10% every year. Fees for 1 semester can be in the range of Rs.90,000 to Rs1,00,000. So the course fee can be around Rs7 lakh. Various scholarships are provided by the College administration. There are scholarships for toppers of the branch, ews, and sc/st quota students. I got a job as Business Analyst at EXL. I have done my Internship at HERO MotoCorp Ltd as an Operations Intern. I got this internship through college.

Campus Life

5

The Annual Cultural and Tech fest is PECFest which is conducted in November every year. It is one of the biggest fests in North India. Many books are present in the library. These books can be taken for study purposes by showing ID Cards. Classrooms are equipped with Smart Monitors to project PPTs, Videos, and ACs to beat the heat. Various sports are played and sports competitions are held like Pec Premier League and Hostel Premier League. Cricket, football, and athletics ground are present in college. A total of 16 clubs and technical societies are present in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read
