Remarks

College management is so nice.. cant be complained ever. They work on time. They will provide every thing as scheduled.. if they do any mistake they accept it.. my experience of 3 year in college was excellent.

Entrance Preview

Well when i got admission there.. that time arts faculty had power of admission.. so i filled my form and submitted it.. and on the result day i got dayal singh college as my 12th percentage.. i was surprised becouse i never heard the name about this college so i dicided to go there first. When i reached there i was so impressed by the nature and atmosphere of college. It was so healty.. no traffic jam no junk food shop. Roads filled with full of trees.. in the summer i never felt so hot there.. amazingly there was lodhi garden also in neighborhood of college. And so famous sai tample of delhi is was located just at near of the college. And i was impressed by the route also.. i think this college has the nearest metro station.. it is just 15 second away from the college gate.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think which subject i studied is Hindi hons was great by department.. teachers are so frandly. They teaches the best.. they dont like any fake activity like buttering. They are just amazing and love all of them. They dont do any partiality for any student.. not even girls and boys.. they are frandly but they dont let you do cheating in any area of your life.. they all are like role model.

College Events

Every month they organize lots of festival , seminars , cultural activities etc. Like singing , dancing , boxing , cricket , painting, debate , fresher party , farewell party , annual college fest , sports day , annual day ,and lots of thing which every college provide

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was so feasible.. well in fees it was very comfortable for dad's pocket. They take fees anually , in example there are little difference among arts , commerce and science subjects fees, i was in arts so my fees was almost 7k every year.. i seen notice so much time in that commerce students had to pay almost 11k and science student 15k maximum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont know about loan facility but college provide lots of scholarship.. like fee refund for students who belong from poor family.

Campus Life

Campus life is so amazing it is not possible to describe it.. u have to feel it . There is basketball court. Cricket ground , badminton court , volleyball court , archery is also available now a days. There is no ragging at all. Police station and BSF army camp is just near by the college

Hostel Facilities

There is no hostel. U have to take pg for it. And pg is so easily available there.. pg will be available i think 6-7 k monthly.. there are so many dealers outside. If u dont want dealer then there are very clean colony called lodhi colony.. it is the best and safest colony in delhi. All the govt officers lives here.

Alumni/Alumna

Well it depends on your behaviour.. every year seniors changes. So cant tell about there mentality.. as u behave as they reply. But u do not have to worry about ragging. ragging is strictly prohibited in campus even u cant play holi festival in college.

Exam Structure

College is so good in exams.. they provide you your sitting plan one day before the exam on the website. All the rooms are so good in atmosphere.. no prblm at all. In exams you will be provided every thing u needed. They take exams in two semester anually. Besides it class test and assignment depends on the teacher..

Faculty

The teaches are so qualified for teach any thing.. almost every teacher has PhD degree in particular subject. There is one staff room in which you can go any time to meet anyone.. almost every teachers completes there couse by the time and revise also.. they focus on every single student..

Likes

I really liked the environment of the college as there was a diverse set of students coming from across the country.
The faculty was top notch and was very dedicated and knowledgeable. If we faced any issue they would come up to help us deal with it.
Also i liked the infrastructure of the college as they recently added a new building and have improved a lot in sports equipments and facilities.

Dislikes

The admin section of the college is very slow and it is a hassle to deal with them. Half a time they are either on a break or on lunch.
There is sometimes non availability of chairs in classrooms like there are approx 40 chairs in each classroom but if the strength of the class is more then we have to borrow it from the next classroom.
Also you will have to take up some additional course which sometimes feel unnecessary but its not only in this particular college but in all the colleges under University of Delhi.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Likes

I liked the environment and the crowd of the college, and also my professors. Like seriously they are so helpful and kind
Also what I like about this college is that it's liberal unlike other colleges of North campus
I love the ashoka lawn and the big ground in front of the gym

Dislikes

I hate the staff, especially the technical staff ( Ankita Jain ), I went to her with erp portal issue and she just didn't look after my issue properly and sent me away. It was totally unexpected. She must be removed from her position.
The canteen staff, I didn't like their behaviour
Some of the seniors are shit and not helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it 9 out of 10. The reason is simple, whatever my professors teach and everything that is there in my syllabus is really helpful for my future. Not just that, they way lectures are delivered by the professors is just awesome

An idiot's guide around college

Likes

environment of my college is far better than all the other colleges I have been to, there is zero to none chances of there ever being something unsafe on campus
maintenance of my college is taken very seriously, in only my 1st month of attending college ii saw precautions being taken due to heavy flooding in the college campus
accessibility is one of the things in my college that is so serious and provided with such care that it feels weird when outside campus no such accessibility is not to be seen

Dislikes

there is little to no room for giving students relaxibility in situations of difficulty during talks of giving a leave or not

philosophy as va discipline covers mostlt all the subjects related to humanities, it'll widen your knowledge and you thinking abillity more than that of a oridinary student, the job market is quite difficult for this course

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

I chose it because I am a tabla player and music society is very good. The admissions are generally accepted to CUET UG examination. Pros and Cons of Dyal Singh College

Dyal Singh College comes under the University of Delhi this the admissions are done on the basis only CUET exam results. I had applied to other top Delhi University Colleges and some private colleges aswell however I didn't get very high marks in CUET and thus fell short of the cutoff of really big colleges but luckily I cleared this colleges cutoff and although I was accepted in a few other private colleges I chose this college as it offered not only great ROI but also a very active social life...Read More
