Remarks

The admission process was quite easy you just have to visit the college and there were so many teachers for admission and they can also guide you on which course is suited for you or choose the right course, which course is more beneficial etc. They don't have any kind of entrance exams for admission, if you want to get enroll in any college of the Oriental group of institutions you need to have a JEE score, the fees for each course is different around 95k to 1.2lks per year OIST Bhopal and around 81k to 1lks (in round fig) for OCT Bhopal. The admission process is wonderful they give you every update through SMS and for inquiries you can call the admission cell department. The reservation benefits are available depending on the category for SC and ST students there is scholar base admission where you don't have to pay the fees the scholar will cover it up. For others, if you have an average JEE score then you have a very good chance of getting in. Try TFW though.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose CSE Data Science because I didn't get plain CSE. At first, I was not happy with my course but after a few months I was quite enjoying the course it is not difficult or different from CSE. The faculty is very good and knowledgeable, they are supportive and easy to talk to. They all are well qualified and suited for their positions as teachers and HODs. Their teaching methods are easy to understand they conduct doubt classes very often and you can review them as well. About the exams, there are 3 main exams in one semester MID sem 1, MID sem 2, and Final SEM exams, and every month you have to give Unit tests of all subjects as well. The teaching is good so if you attend college and present in lectures regularly passing the exams is easy, if you work a little hard you can easily score a wonderful score.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are so many many seminars organized by organizations and departments for motivation to do startups and how to prepare for placements they conduct CRT (Campus Recruitment Training) for placements. Some companies came into the institute looking for interns they organize seminars and ask interested students can join and do internships. They take your interview as well and prepare you for the outside world.

Placement Experience

2.5

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for campus placements they have not been great in the past few years but still, you can get a 2.5 LPA package easily and if you prepare by yourself I mean you have to prepare yourself for placements if you want a good placement. If you rely on college for everything then you will get disappointed, you will get placed but not on a higher package. There are so many companies that are big MNCs like TCS, Capgemini, etc are gonna come and recruit so many students so you don't have to worry about your job if you have at least an average score in all of your semesters. To sit in the placements you have to maintain a 7.5 cgpa every semester. The college supports you if have an idea and you want to do any startups you can take guidance from the faculty and seniors. The highest package of OCT is 6 to 7 links per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is reasonable depending on the colleges there is OIST where fees are around 95k to 1.2lks per year and there is also OCT which charges around 80k to 1lks per year, this is tuition fees you have to pay library charges and bus fees (Bus fees is compulsory though if you don't live under 1.5km). If you belong to SC or ST categories you can get scholar base admission where you don't have to pay the tuition fees so there is this benefit for SC ST students. If you belong to another category then I suggest you try to fill counseling form and select TFW (Tuition Fees Waiver) in this you don't have to pay the tuition fees.

Campus Life

3.5

There are so many events organized by students, faculty, and organization including tech fest, freshers, and GI (general introduction). The tech fest is the most awaited of them all it includes cultural programs, sports, coding competitions, and many more. The college has its library which is available in every college but you can get your books there semester by semester. The classrooms are good they use the black board and chalk for teaching and you can get your notes on the college app (moodle) as well. There is NCC and NSS on campus and you can participate in the game you want if it's available in college there are our seniors who announce every update of every event in your class. There are clubs and social groups also for an individual to join.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.
