Remarks

Anyone who has finished 12th is eligible for this course. Students can join the college only using the thea. Tnea is the general counselling for Tamilnadu. 500 application fees and we can apply after our board results. Only students of Tamilnadu can enter tnea and some exceptional cases.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very much interested in mechanical engineering. 1:40 faculty-student ratio. Teachers here are one of the most qualified staff. Only the top ranking in the exam can qualify here. Term exams are conducted regularly after 1 or 1 and half months.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements by the 7th semester. Top companies like Titan, Infosys, tafe, cognizant, Zoho, TCS, and one bill visit our college. Highest salary: 13lpa Average salary:5lpa. Almost all students get placed. Some students who opt for higher studies are mostly unplaced. I'm also looking for a placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees:6k, Hostel fees:6k, Mess fees: monthly 2k, Exam fees: 2k approximately. Government College of Technology, Coimbatore is one of the cheapest colleges in the country. You can finish your B.Tech in less than 1lakh.

Campus Life

Muthamizh vizha is an annual cultural festival. The departmental function of various departments is conducted regularly. Department function of the mechanical department is pretty famous. Cricket, football, and volleyball all are present. All clubs are run by students. Coding clubs, drama mime sports clubs are some examples of club.

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

Dislikes

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Academic, campus life & beyond

Since I'm north indian i didn't know much about the college. Now while I'm studying in it.
