Remarks

I would like to make one remark and that would be the in time for both boys and girls as if we are minors or kids. Yes, we have an in time and that is 8 pm for girls and 9 30 pm for boys. That means you cant go out during the night for dinner or a movie etc.

Entrance Preview

VITEEE and I scored pretty high. I got AIR 141 and I found the college pretty much good through ranking and seniors thus I joined the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We had FFCS ( Fully Flexible Credit System) meaning we can choose our own subjects, teachers, timing, and classrooms too out of the different choices available to us during our slot booking time. The subjects which you couldn't register in a particular semester can be taken in the subsequent semesters. The students can also pursue a minor degree in another program along with their major degree program.

Internships Opportunities

As far as I am concerned I did not do any internship since I was from an ECE background not that I shouldn't but I didn't. So I do not have much knowledge about this part.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is 100 % in VIT University, Vellore. Companies would flood to the college in 3 different slots- normal, dream, and super dream companies. Normal company's average salary would be around 3-3.5L per annum. Dream companies would offer 6L- 8 L per annum. Super Dream would offer above 8L per annum.

College Events

4

College celebrates a technical fest and a cultural fest every year. The technical fest was named Gravitas and the cultural fest as Riviera. The way these festivals are conducted very few in the country would reach that level.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When I was studying it was Rs 79000 per year as tuition fees and hostel fees varied from Rs 42000 to Rs 100000 based on which room and which type of mess you are opting for.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I was awarded a scholarship of 25000 per semester since I was among the top-ranked in VITEEE which was really really great gesture and inspiration from the University.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life and atmosphere are one of its kind. When it comes to extracurricular activities there are a lot of options for indoor and outdoor sports, a lot of clubs like the music club, literary club, hiking club, etc. When it comes to competitions there are a lot of them going on every now and then.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel was good and mess food was good too as compared to most others I would say. Depending on the type of room and mess you opt for it would vary though.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors were interactive and good. There is no ragging in VIT University. Whenever you need any help you can contact your seniors through mutual friends or through faculty.

Exam Structure

I would say it was cool and chilled out but we had 2 internal exams and a semester exam in a semester. So every one or one and a half months you would be occupied. Apart from that, you would have assignments and quizzes.

Faculty

2

The faculty was ok but infrastructure and course curriculum make up for it. I was not that much satisfied because most of them were Tamil speaking people whose slang of English is alien to north Indians and also they were not well versed with the subject in

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
