I chose the course in the college because Nit Durgapur top most Reputed engineering college in India and here metallurgical and Materials Engineering are awesome faculty are there also good placements here near DSP Durgapur so many students got internships easily. There are more than 14 faculty in mme department And total no faculty in the college is 120+ The teaching methods of the faculty are awesome they use ppts with animation and many proff. Uses chalk n board to calculate mechanics n math problems they are really legendary and some prof is okay There are 3terms there midterm Ca internal and end-term. It's not difficult to pass if you are not studying properly if you do your work every day it's not too difficult to pass end term, midterm examination

It's true that fees hikes every year but if you are belonging to A family income below less than 5lakhs then you got a scholarship in fees and it's called a fee waiver. there are rules if your family income is below<1 Lakh then you got a full tuition fee waiver If your family income more than 1 lakh then you got 2/3 of the tuition fee waiver It's not too costly but poor people also availed of scholarships and got a chance to study here. If your family income is above 5lakh then you apply for a loan there are two banks available one is sbi another is Canara Bank if you are not interested to apply here then go near to the City center there are a lot of banks are you can apply any banks as your wish It's a 1-year stipend for students who got a graduate degree from nit Durgapur there is no cost to charge the bank after one year you have to pay emis @8% interest.

Campus Life is awesome But students in the first year there a lot of restrictions they are not allowed to go outside of hall 14 it's called Dr. Ambedkar hall classes they're allowed to go in the classes up to 7:30 p.m. at the night. No night-out life is there but in 2nd year to 4th year, they have no restrictions they going anywhere. So it's an amazing campus with 187 acres and greenery campus there is a tuckpoint also students are going and enjoy there. it's pleasure for me to join the Nit Durgapur. Great campus life. There are lot of clubs in counting from 18 to 19 Starting from the entrepreneurship development cell to the mntc club math n tech club and Dance club and saifreshmanclub lot of clubs are there. there are 3 types of annual fest 1. Aarohan 2. Aavishkar 3. Recstacy clubs and there are food fest also happened called Recrave. Here a Central library called NIT Durgapur Central Library it's a bundle of huge books including engineering to communication books. all types of books are there.

In hall 14 first year there are three wardens the controlling whole hall 14 and a lot of security guards and managers are controlled students. In the first year in one room, there are three people. Mess food quality is varied but it's quite good and healthy they are providing three meals a day breakfast lunch dinner. Wednesday night they will provide some tasty food like the same as some 5* hotels Hostel fees are nil but mess food charges 140 a day There is no extra need to be registered if you come to the jossa counseling then you can get a Chanakya online portal here and have to pay your fees. it's affordable. PG Students are totally friendly culturally with first-year students and also 2nd year students do friendly behavior with juniors. There are a lot of international students where they're coming from Nepal Uganda South Africa Sri Lanka Bangladesh etc. Keep with Ph.D. seniors international students got something friendly behavior with PG students and they interact easily.
