Course Curriculum Overview
As I always wanted to be an engineer so I appeared JEE Main exam and got admitted to this institute as per my rank. Faculty members are helping and supporting in nature. All faculty members are highly educated i.e. Ph.D. and teaching techniques are marvelous. In general, in each semester there is one mid-term exam and one end-term exam, difficulties of the exam are all depend upon how much you have studied, in general easy.
Internships Opportunities
There are so many multinational companies i.e. Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Mahindra, Suzuki, Google, etc. visits our institute and many students got placed every year with such huge package and internship facilities is also available for students after the 5th semester that may be paid or tutorial for getting experienced in their respective fields and also got a certificate for their internship program.
Placement Experience
A student can apply for placement from the 5th semester, placement is very much impressed with an average of 8.5 lakh per annum Most of the multinational companies visit our campus for placement like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Mahindra, and manufacturing industries and petroleum, and petrochemical industries also. The percentage of students got placed every year is different in general from the CSE branch 95.4% of students got placed and chemical 88.8% and other branches also provide a high percentage of placement I will join one company first then after being stable in my life I will try to make my village better by providing some facilities as there is a very less number of children getting education of higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for one semester is Rs.62500 tuition fee and there are other charges also around Rs.13000. There are so many scholarships available for students provided by the state government and central government as well. But if one's family income is below 1lakh or the student is sc or at then the tuition fee of the student will be waived, for students whose family income is below 2.5 lakhs his or her 2/3rd of the tuition fee will be waived.
Campus Life
At NIT Durgapur, there are so many college fests that occur from time to time some of them are at the national level and international levels also. Some of them are nityamini, Aaron, Aavishkar, tech fest, recstsey, food fest, and so many. There is a central library on our campus where all types of books are available a large collection of 1.7 lakh books. The classroom is well furnished with a capacity of 250 students in each room So many extracurricular activities are organized by various clubs and institutions also some are inter-clubs and inter nit also Clubs like SAI, DEBSOC, RECURSION, EDC, STROKES, RADIO NITROZE, ROBOZIDO, LITERARY CIRCLE, etc.
Hostel Facilities
A well-furnished hostel with 3 students in each room with a good availability of Fooding and lodging. Meal quality is so much good for both veg and non-veg. In one week if one wants to eat nonveg it is always available i.e. 12 times in a week. Registration is available online only for nit Durgapur students with a low cost of 15000 per semester so everyone can afford Being a student of NIT Durgapur all have to be there in a hostel there is not any system of day scholars. So a rented room is not an option.
Admission
To get admission all have to qualify for JEE Main exam first, then thereafter cut off will be announced which differs from branch to branch. Application is available online at jeemain.nta.nic.in fees is not fixed it varies between Rs.600-1000. Reservation of seats is as per the government has approval. The admission process is much better.
