Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have chosen chemical engineering because it's my passion. And I'm a very curious and experimental person. So chemical engineering provides the ability to create new substances and materials that can improve people's lives. And also so many good core companies visit our college like ITC, Dr. Reddy laboratories, Exxon Mobil, etc. Faculty to student ratio is good and it's around 1:15. The minimum qualification to be a faculty in NITW is to have Ph.D. in their respective disciplines. And most of the faculties also do write research papers. The teaching method is very good, professors are always available to help students with their doubts and queries. The term exams are mid-semester and end-semester exams, one can easily pass the exams if one listens to classes and maintain proper notes.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Here we can do internships under professors or we can get internships by recommendations of professors. Here we have to do a minor project in 3rd year and a major project in 4th year. The companies that came for internship are ITC, BNY Mellon, Accenture, etc. The stipends offered are around Rs.30,000-Rs,60,000 per month.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are excellent in our college. From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements here. .Various companies visited our college like Uber, Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Deloitte, Oracle, ITC, GAIL, etc. Total no. offers made upto now are 1100+ and still counting. The highest package is INR 88 lpa and average package is around 19.9 LPA. Around 90% students of our branch are placed upto now. My plans after getting degree are to work in a good software industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee here is Rs.62,500 per semester if your family/father's income is above 5 lakhs. If income is between 1-5 lakhs then only one-third of Rs.62,500 needs to be paid. If income is below 1 lakh then no fee is required to be paid. The cost of the study is around 7-8 lakhs per year if you pay the full semester fee every year. The hostel fee is around 32,000 per year. Here various scholarships are available like NSP, Institute merit scholarships. I got an NSP scholarship of Rs.10,000 in my first year for merit in the Intermediate exams. Our college provides financial assistance for a parental income of below 5 lakhs. I was hired as a software engineer in my campus placements.

Campus Life

4.5

Every year various fests will be conducted such as Technozian which is a technical fest conducted in November/December and Spring spree which is a cultural fest conducted in April. And also various extracurricular activities like DJ nights, flash mob, etc...All types of books are available in the library, we can take them to our room by showing our respective ID cards, and needs to have renewal every month. All types of sports can be played here and we will have Inter NIT contests every year for sports like cricket, table tennis, badminton, etc. And also we have 3 big grounds in our college and also facilities to play indoor games are available. We have so many clubs in our college like the value and education club, quiz club, DnD club, music club, astronomy club, and a total of around 33 clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The facilities provided are quite good like every room has a chair, table ,fan, shelfs, cot and good internet connection through WLAN.And the rooms are also quite good. The meal quality is quite good here .We have tiffins like puri, idli, vada, dosa, maggi every week and in lunch curries like aloo, brinjal etc.. will be provied. The mess fee is Rs.115 per day. Registration process for hostel is we have to register in WSDC portal by selecting the rooms available in the portal. And we can get that room by paying required hostel fees and getting verified.

Admission

I got admission to NIT Warangal through JEE mains exam which is conducted by NTA every year for engineering aspirants. Eligibility to get this course is students should have passed the 12th class with a minimum of 75% marks(65% for SC/ST/PWD categories) or they should be in the top 20 percentile in their 12th class exams. The application form is through JOSAA counseling. We have to register on the JOSAA website and we should fill in the colleges to which we want to get admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is relevant because we are not just studying theory all the time. Along with regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects and problem solving which actually feels useful. It feels like the course is designed to help us build skills that we will need later not just clear semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before joining I thought it would be like any other engineering college where we just study for exams. But after coming here, I felt it's a bit different. We do have theory classes, but there are also coding sessions, projects and assignments almost every week. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but I think it's actually helping us learn better. The syllabus feels relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has been a nice mix of theory and practical work. We don't just sit through lectures all day there are coding sessions, projects, assignments, and hands on activities that make the subjects easier to understand. It feels like you are learning skills that you'll use later. One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments or small projects. That change keeps things interesting.

I think IN-campus Placements are the best thing that this college may offer. This is one of the top college in Telangana so almost every top company gives a chance to this college companies like Cisco, Insfosys, TCS, Cognizent, Accenture and many more. The highest package is 34LPA last year 2024, and the average is 7LPA i think.I think almost 60 to 70 percentage of people get place in the companies.I plan to get place in the top most comnmpany in the Telanagana after getting degree.
