Course Curriculum Overview

3

The only reason for me to choose the course was to get into Nit Warangal. The college provides a plethora of opportunities. The old faculty is very good having a profound experience in the field. However, some faculties are not that good and simply speak out from the textbooks. Coming to labs they are very good with hygenic maintenance. There are 2 term exams mid (30 marks) and ends (50 marks) and the 20 marks vary according to the professor's wish (minors, presentations, etc) and the papers are fairly easy to moderate.

Placement Experience

4.5

Nit W is known for its placements. 3RD YEAR STUDENTS SIT FOR INTERNS AND 4 TH YEARS FOR PLACEMENTS. Students from CSE, ECE, eee get to have a companies spree. like 100s of companies come and offer very good packages. However, core branches have also seen a rise in placements (in IT SECTOR). The main recruiter can be an oracle, Goldmann Sachs, ITC, or MASTER CARD WHICH VISIT REGULARLY BESIDES GIVING A GREAT POAY. The highest package is 89 lpa by thought spot and the average package can be near 15 lpa. Around 95 per cent of people get placed who sat for placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Nit Warangal is one of the best colleges in India when comes to providing quality education with minimum fees. The fee structure is divided into 3 categories based on the income earned by the parent's Income. One has to provide an Income certificate, and IT returns. 1. below one lakh(No fees) 2. one lakh to 5 lakhs ( remission of 66.67% fees) 3. above 5 lakhs (full fees) Also, a merit scholarship is provided for students (who pay full fees)who get a minimum.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is fairly good with many clubs and associations. There are primarily 2 fests. Technician (Technical fest), Spring spree (cultural fest). The library is very good with many books however most of the books are only discipline related like relating to engineering stuff not many novels are found. The classrooms are very good, with good projectors, wi-fi facilities, and good seminar halls. There are many courts and grounds in the college. Sports events such as INter Nit, cpl and association sports events are conducted which have very good participation. Groups like to dance and dramatics, fitness, debating and literary, film committee etc.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostels are not that great at Nit Warangal. All of them have common bathrooms with poor maintenance. Lan wire is given to every student in the hostel. There are several mess halls and students can choose according to their wishes. However, some mess like that of IFC -B sucks and has the worst food. Registration for a hostel is done online at the start of the semester. single rooms are only given for final years.

Admission

One has to take the joint engineering entrance exam (JEE) MAINS to pursue a bachelor of engineering at NIT Warangal. After writing mains, one has to go through jossa counselling to get a seat at Nit Warangal. There are primarily 8 courses offered at Nit warangal for Btech. BTech (CSE, ece, eee, mechanical, civil, chemical, metallurgy, biotechnology) There are primarily 3 entity of reservation 1. EWS 2.OBC(NCL) 3. SC/ST Apart from these reservation is given for home state students i.e students who reside in Telangana(approx 50%). In order to avail of the home state quota one has to do classes 11, and 12 in Telangana. In the past few years, girls' quota has significantly increased.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
