Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very well defined and is intricately curated by keeping the industry standards in the mind. It enables the students to learn the latest technologies and keep up with the industry requirements. The faculty: student ratio is approx. 1:20. The faculties are mostly PHd holders and are well qualified in research and education. The teaching method is quite insightful and very up-to-date. It is quite interactive. There are regular assessment tests that are held at regular intervals to check the progress of the student. Also, mid-semester exams and end-semester exams are held which are quite challenging to pass and score good marks.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Placement Experience

from the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. 400+ companies visit the campus such as Amazon, Google, Paytm and cognizant. 64 lacs is the highest package offered to a lpu student and avg placement here is 6 lacs per annum. after getting the degree my plans are to take placements from lpu only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university offers scholarships to its students based on the merit and marks scored in their senior secondary school grades, entrance exam grades like JEE and also the university's own exam called LPUNEST to determine the student's credibility.

Tech fest is conducted every month here and the annual fest is conducted approx in June. Every type of book is present in the library here e.g competitive exams books, journals, textbooks, programming lang books etc. LPU is most widely known for its sports. The LPU team everywhere they go they always make lpu proud. there are too many big names in sports from lpu e.g Neeraj Chopra.

Hostel Facilities

Every type of facility is provided in LPU hostel rooms that a student need in their daily life. Meal quality is good but not up to the mark. REGISTRATION for hostels is done with the admission process only. If I have rented a room or pg the locality would have been Law gate or Deep nagar.

Hostel Fee: INR 85000 per year

Admission

60+ marks in PCM aggregate. you will find everything on www.lpu.in about the application form, application fees and application dates. the application form is simple just fill in your details and you have to give 1000 rs for that. then a paper for scholarship LPUnest is conducted. this test is offline and completely proctored. For admission, you have to give 10000 rs which will be later deducted from the college fee. I want the eligibility criteria should be increased to 75 in PCM. so that the students who truly deserve and are serious get to study in this reputed college.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late

The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
