The campus life here is very vibrant and it's an entirely student-driven campus. Starting from academics the curriculum is well structured and the faculties are highly qualified. Each lecture duration is of 90mins and prof. abides this strictly. Nearly we attend 3-4 lectures a day, rushing to x-café or Nescafe for a coffee dose and those gossips during the breaks. The library has all the resources that we need for our all functions, reading rooms which are open 24*7 for students, have digital learning platform(UMS) where we are given bunches of database access like- India stats, Statista, oxford university press and others (nearly 36). XPRESSIONS is the annual fest of XIMB, it is eastern India's largest cultural fest. this year we hosted Vishal-Sekhar, sunburn as DJs and karunesh Talwar. The footfall reaches nearly 30000. All the sports faculties are available dedicated badminton court, football field , basket ball field and many indoor games.

( ximb.edu.in) The application process date is flexible; this academic year was from September 8th, 2022 to January 20, 2023, and the application fee was 1600. I took the XAT entrance exam and applied through the same channel for MBA-BM. XIMB takes the scores from CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT(XIMB-HRM program only), and X-GMT( test conducted by XIMB itself). XIMB has a domicile reservation for Odisha resident applicants only. The cutoff for the different entrance tests and the reservation and non-reservation candidates are different and the cut-offs are communicated by the administration once they declare the list.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yes, during my admission process post getting a call from XIMB. Only one round of interviews was conducted in the online arrangement. A panel of three interviewers took my interview. The questions were very dynamic and they asked basic HR questions like - 1. Why MBA? 2. What are your 4 weaknesses and how do you feel about them? followed by generic questions 3. Influence me to visit Odisha 4. What did you learn from this Budget 5. your role model and why him/her a few technical questions: What is a standard deviation, Name 10 items from the balance sheet, What is an audit report. To prepare for this interview I read The Hindu for current affairs and materials of TIME for GD, common interview questions, etc.
