Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen a Bachelor of arts in social science in economics. At the beginning of 2 years, we have 5 different subjects. After that last year we have one core subject with seven papers. We have 6 to 7 faculty members with 60 to 70 students. The ratio is one faculty member in 10 students. Qualification of faculty members PhD qualified. They are really helpful and they used different methods for teaching us. Sometimes they use the presentation method. And they also organise some seminars related to our course which really fruitful for us. We have two exams in a year which are called semester exams. After 4 months of studying we have to give that exam. The paper pattern was moderate not so easy not so tough. If a person studies well he can easily crack it.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of my University is an average of about 10 to 12 thousand. And we also get scholarships if you fill out the form. The scholarship is about 70% of the fees. We only have to give 30% for this course which is a big opportunity for us. The scholarship is UP scholarship which was filled by the UP students others can also fill out the national scholarship. We have jobs on our campus as faculty members.
Campus Life
College life is really interesting because there are lots of events, fest going on. Annual functions, cultural events, and the party are like a farewell, fresher. We have a library where there are so many books. We got newspapers, journals, magazines and lots of books related to our course. There's an ebook as well if anyone wants to search any book so she can easily search. There are also sports activities like cricket, volleyball, basketball and kabaddi. These games are practised on a daily basis. There are so many groups which run by students like ABVP, and NSS.
Admission
The eligibility for the course is an intermediate pass. For applying for this course there was an application form, and it was online so we have filled it. The form fee was 600. The application starts from April to May. Then we got an email where admit card was there. And in that, there is the date and venue of the examination. Then we have gone for the entrance examination. Which can be pen and pencil mode or Computer based. We can choose anything from it. There is a negative marking in the exam. So we have to be more careful while giving this exam. There is only one hour to complete all the questions. We don't have the choice to select any question. After many days, who so ever passed, they get an email for documentation verification. Then we have a counselling session. There is also reservation like if you are a student of NCC, scout guide and disabled so you have some reservation benefits. It is about anyone who got less marks but is also able to take admission because of this reservation. Time-taking process.
