What Students Say
Likes
- Beautiful campus. Bhu is filled with trees and gardens and sometime you can spot peacocks etc.
- Hostel Food. For students who live off campus can still dine at Hostel Mess with price as low as 50- 100.
- Faculty is quite knowledgeable and experienced. Plus they really take their profession very seriously and try to provide students with best education.
Dislikes
- Administrative Process can often be slow and tiresome
- Isolated instances of discrimination with students from non- Hindi speaking regions.
- Some administrative employees are willfully obtuse.
Course Curriculum Overview
I want to go for a Management role therefore I needed something relevant to my future aspirations, therefore, I choose the Economics-Maths-Stat combination. Faculty to student ratio is healthy in my opinion, Faculty as well is knowledgeable and experienced. Exams were timely and of moderate difficulty.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is, in my opinion, one of the perks of attending Public Universities. As we get top-notch faculty and infrastructure at affordable rates. And University provides plenty of Scholarships and on-campus job opportunities.
Campus Life
BHU campus is quite open, so you can interact with students of different faculties. Kashiyatra is a major fest plus different faculties have their fests. The campus located near various tourist hotspots like Assi Ghat etc. adds to the social experience. Clubs such as Rhetorical( debate), Prometheus (Quiz), etc. are present. Libraries are one of the most equipped in India.
Admission
My admission process was somewhat unusual compared with what most applicants will experience nowadays. Even though the exam was postponed to later dates, other processes were rather smooth. Most of the information was available on the official website. University kept me updated via email.
