- IF you fail a subject you are supposed to repeat it in the next semester while paying a fee of 6000₹
- Compared to the fees that we pay all classrooms do not contain AC’s only lab classes have AC’s
Course Curriculum Overview
IT is an ever-growing field with tremendous potential. Student to faculty ratio is almost 65:1 All the teachers should have done phd in any field to become a teacher in vit. There are 3 exams in a semester ( 2 CAT's(cumulative assessment tests) and 1 FAT ( Final assessment test))
Internships Opportunities
Many companies provide internship opportunities during the summer period including some tech giants like JP Morgan Chase, DE shaw, Adobe etc. They all provide a stipend near 50000 with a ppo of 20+ lakhs. A 6-month internship is compulsory to complete your engineering. Those who don't get any internships are made to work on a project named capstone project in any field of their choice under a faculty.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. According to last year's statistics, more than 200 companies visit vit vellore and numerous offers are made. Highest package- 1.01 Cr Avg package- 8L More than 90% of students are placed I plan on pursuing MBA after this degree
Fees and Financial Aid
There hasn't been any fee hike for the past 3 years. The fee remains the same ( different for different categories). The scholarships are only awarded to students whose parent's annual income is less than 1 lakh per annum. After joining the college if you manage to stay within the top 10 of your branch you might get a scholarship based on your rank
Campus Life
Tech fest- Gravitas Annual fest- Riviera Most of the books available in the library are academically oriented with very little variety in fiction and novel sections. Lab classes have ACs while the theory classes don't. Sports and extracurricular activities are emphasized vit vellore. There are 3 gyms within the campus, badminton courts, tennis courts, football fields, cricket fields, recreation room etc. There are more than 120 clubs and chapters present in vit, some websites that are run by students include vitspot and vittredz
Hostel Facilities
There are AC and non-AC beds provided in the hostels which are provided to students based on their cgpa. Meal quality varies from person to person. Overall in my opinion it's 6/10 The registration process is time-consuming and you need to secure a good cgpa to get your desired room. PGs are not an option if you are planning to join vit. It is compulsory to stay in the hostels unless your parents live with you
Admission
12th pass should appear in the VITEEE examination to get admission to the college. There are no reservations based on any caste. The tuition fee is decided on the rank that you achieve in viteee exam and the branch that you select
