Remarks

The college administration has more negative impacts than positive . no festival are organised properly ,no good sports facility, not even the college gate was made until thie year from the past 20 years. And yet there is no hostel facility.

Entrance Preview

I applied for REAP and in that year entrance was made on the basis of our 12th grade score. I scored 85% in 12th. And my reap rank was around 9000. I chose this college because because all i wanted was a seat in CS or IT. jodhpur was far away for home and i could not go away due to some reasons.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure of RTU(rajasthan technical university) is quite good. The level of study is fine but the papers are not checked properly.for an instance if 500 students apply for an exam then around 300 will be failed by RTU. But when students fill for revaluation of papers they charge us huge amounts . in reavaluation around 200 students will get passed and i have seen many of my friends had upto 30-40 marks increased in some subjects. So around 200 students who didn't fail had to pay fees to just get passed.

Internships Opportunities

No.But a training session is done as per RTU guidelines. The students of btech are sent for industrial training for 2 months i.e. 60 days(without holidays). The training session takes place after the 3rd year ir VI sem.

Placement Experience

2.5

Approx 40% students gets on campus or off campus placement every year. Many companies like TCS,ICICI,BOB,Indian Army,HCL,Idea Cellular,Adani,Aptech, etc. Come every year to pick meritorius students every year.TCS itself picks around 80 students every year from branches like CS,IT and EC.

College Events

2

Along with aporta week abd atheletics an annual cultural fest (Tarangani ) and an annual technical fest (Technotsav) is celebrated. The tarangani festival is organised in the college campus in a small garden as all the fund is swallowed by the college respective department . but the students enjoys whatever is given to them to the fullest. There is dancing and singing and comedy and screenplays etc. Whereas in technotsav there ia robowar, roborace, rotosoccer,NFS mostwanted,CS,Minimilitia FIFA and many more matches.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees is feasible ir expensive depends upon the aid provided by the college or government.there are 3 three different categories for admission in btech or any other field in RTU they are: SFS-self financed seat. In these seats the students have to around 40000 per semester. GAS-Govt. Aided seat. In these seats the students have to oay half the tuituon fees that is around 20000 per semester. TFWS-Tuition fees waiver scheme. In these seats the student does not have to pay for the tuition fee at all and the semester fees is around 5000.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, the scholarships are not provided by the college but tge college has tie-up with almost all the private NGO's like sumedha organisation which provide financial support to meritorious students irrespective of religion or cast, especially to orphans and economically backward students.and also various govt. Schemes like samaj kalyan which provide finacial aid to some section of the society.the college keeps all the students informed about every scholarship.and yes the college helps in getting a loan. I have take a loan and also the sumedha scholarship.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life in the college is great.the gender ratio in an engineering college is never known to be well balanced. The gender ration of our branch i.e . is 2:48. Which means 2 girls on 48 boys.however the gender ratio of many branches in better but not equal. There are atmost 1 girl on 5 boys.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

There is no hostel developed in the college campus nor does the college provide any hostel or mess facility. The students have to find private rooms or private hostels to accomodate themselves. The college does not held itself responsible for any student under any condition.

Alumni/Alumna

No. There have never have been any contact with any of the alumni of the college. Neither do the college is interested to organise a reunion or something otherwise it will help to motivate and inspire the students.

Exam Structure

The Exam structure of RTU is quite regular and similar to any other university in india. The 2 internals called mid-terms of 10 marks each in every semester. The semester exams are held at the end of the semester along with practicals. The practicals contribute to 400 marks whereas theory contribute to 550 marks and the remaining 50 marks are for DECA(discipline and extra curriular activities). So the semester comprises of 1000 marks.

Admission

Through REAP. The process was quite simple. We had to just apply for admission to various technical institutes of rajasthan. But we had to just fill a single form listing all our marks in 12th standard.only the marks of PCM was included for counselling.the REAP for had two columns for both 12 th and JEE mains. When we filled the form the result that was the reap rank came after about 10-15 days later containing both our ranks of 12th and JEE. now it was upto us through qhich medium we had to take the admission. I chose 12th. And within 15 days i was alloted a CS(sfs) in Govt. Engineerimg college jhalawar. The college was good and well built but the locality was poor. So i applied for upward movement. And in 10 days i was alloted IT(sfs) in govt. Engineering college,Ajmer.

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college seems to be very punctual and concerned about the future of the students. They are very keen to help the students. They beg the students to attend classes regularly.they try their best to teach every part of our syllabus and even beyond that. Parcticles are also carried out properly to provide overall development of the students. Sports and other extra curricular activities are carried out ttime to time.
