Course Curriculum Overview
I have a lot of interest in this course which is why I chose this course. the faculty to student ratio is very good you can get at least 3 faculty per student. The faculties here are highly qualified and they really know their stuff, while teaching they try to keep students engaged by relating the concepts to their practical application. There are 3 exams per semester (2- 50 marks each + 1(100 marks (final)), they can be sometimes hard or lengthy but if have got the concepts right you can easily score good marks.
Internships Opportunities
you can get an internship at the startup companies which are under incubation in VIT even in your 1st year. they'll first train you for a month or two and then you can get a project based on your performance which can earn you a stipend usually starting from(5k per month).
Placement Experience
-> After 5 seems you can opt for an internship and in the 7th sem you can be eligible for placements. around 800 -900 companies visit every year with a high rate of placements offered. avg package is 8 lacs and the highest package is 1.07 crore as of 2022. Around 98% of students get placements. after placement, I would work for 3-4 years and then apply for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
-> Tuition fees come in 5 categories based on your rank if you have a good rank then you can get a 1 or 2 category which has less fee. if you scored under 1000 then you can get a fee hike of around 25%. therefore if you are a category-1 student then you only have to pay around 2 lacs per annum. I am a first year so I haven't got any job or internship yet.
Campus Life
-> The tech fest's name is - Gravitas (conducted in the month of September) and the cultural fest's name is -Riviera(conducted in the month of February). VIT has a 3 floored ac library with a lot of textbooks, thesis, research papers and magazines. The classrooms are well-ventilated and well-equipped with clean whiteboards, smart boards and projectors with a seating capacity of at least 60 students. The institute has a lot of facilities for extracurriculars such as a Table tennis hall, swimming pool, open stadium, indoor stadium, gyms, volleyball court, basketball courts, lawn tennis court etc for the students to enjoy their leisure. -> College has a large no. of clubs as well as chapters where students can come together learn and share their experiences.
Admission
if you have secured a good rank in the VITEEE exam you can easily get your desired course for CSE/IT(<10000) is preferred. you can find the application form on their website which is, www.vit.ac.in. There are no reservation criteria every candidate is judged on their merit. According to me, admission processes could have been more transparent towards the students.
