Remarks

College is fine nothing over the top af least for Chemical department. Rest the crowd is good. The college infrastructure is poor.

Entrance Preview

I gave Mh-CET. Scored 90/200. Took chemical engineering because it was the only. Branch that I could secure due to my marks in the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course structure of the Mumbai university is confusing. Initially we were put along the students from other streams and were later aggregated to our respective branches from the S.E. The teachers were good. Research was not encouraged and teachers simply busy completing the course for the semester.

Internships Opportunities

No the college did not provide internship for me. No internship means no stipend. Do your own jugaad from outside.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement doesn't matter, most people these days end doing sales job or marketing job or MS in US. Rest do startups. First benchers get placements at Reliance and other companies. Packages range from 2.4lpa to 5lpa depending on the company and job profile

College Events

4

Chemergence is a annual festival organised by the students of the chemical department. Students from nearby colleges as well as from other states participate in this. TRIFLES is an annual cultural festival organised by the Student council. One must attend the FS at the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. In 2009 it was around 78000 then in 2010 it was 89000 and it keeps on increasing every year. Sabse zyada inflation dekhne ko milta hai. Every year they use to charge extra during the winter Semster in the name of University. However the facilities remained same.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I did not avail any scholarship or loan from college. The top rankers were given scholarship. Relax don't think about scholarship assignment Pai dyan do Aur kisi nhi tarah pass ho jao bas.

Campus Life

1

Gender ratio was pretty good almost equal. Sindhi students are in majority as it is a Sindhi college. No sports ground is available. Khar gymkhana is the nearest ground. Indoor sports are few like T.T, carrom and is usually packed with students. Labs are fine not over the top but sufficient for our use.

Hostel Facilities

1

Canteen is fine food is fine. The college is located in the heart of Bandra and the nearby food stalls and restaurant are walking distance. No hostel facilities available. I travelled from Colaba &Virar so don't know about the rentals. I have heard rental in nearby area are high.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is/isnt strong highly dependent on the student. I personally haven't met any alumni from the college but it doesn't matter in the long run.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is chilled out and relaxing. There is lot of gaps in between the exams. Don't take that lightly. Toppers will be able to answer that more accurately. Scoring marks is easy just do the last 5 years papers thoroughly guaranteed you will pass. Even if you don't know the answer just write something but don't leave it blank.

Admission

After the result I approached the college administrative department. They were helpful and guided me through the admission procedure. The process was lengthy and time consuming though. After the admission I relaxed a bit and joined the college in August and really enjoyed those early days at college

Faculty

2.5

Few of the faculty took their subject enthusiastically, many only cared about the first benchers. Every teacher was very much interested in giving the assignments. Assignment are the only thing that teach you jugaad in engineering colleges and helps develop people skills.

Placement Experience:

Placements at ADYPU are moderate and structred . Students usually become eligilble from the final year for campus drives. Various startups and mid level comapnies visit for roles in sales, marketing, operatioons and tech support . The highest pacakage generally ranges arounf 45-50LPA , while the average package is around 4.5-6 LPA , depending on the profile . A fair percentage of active students secure placements. After completing my degree, i plan to focus on skill development and pursue better career op;portunities.
