Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum here is one of the best. Here, if you take the CSE branch, you don't need to study useless subjects like Physics, Chemistry, etc, unlike most NITs and IITs. The curriculum here is very much industry oriented. The faculty-student ratio is also good, which is around 25:1. The faculty is highly qualified and very helpful. A semester comprises 2 mid-semester exams and 1 end-semester exam. The difficulty level is average.

Internships Opportunities

Many big and small companies, startups, etc. provide internships in the college. Some of them include Amazon, IBM, DADB, etc. Moreover, the college also helps students to find internships in their third year.

Placement Experience

Students get internship opportunities in the third year, and then they are eligible for placements. Many companies including Amazon, Deloitte, Bosch, Nvidia, etc. visit here for placements. You can also refer to the official website of IIIT Kottayam for more details. The highest package is around 59 Lacs, while the average is 14 Lacs. Almost 90-95 % of the students get placed easily. My plans after getting the degree are to pursue higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost for the entire course, including tuition fee, hostel fee and mess fee will be around 14 Lacs. Currently, there are no scholarships available from the institute side, but students can apply for other scholarships like NSP, and they will be considered.

Campus Life

Many fests happen here including fests like APOORV, ADAVYA, etc. The library has sufficient books. The classrooms are spacious, and students are taught on multiple screens rather than just a blackboard. Sports facilities are average, in fact, you won't get much time to devote to sports. There are many clubs in the college, including the cyber security club, photography club, trendles, wild beats, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Three people stay in a room, which is good. The hostel and the rooms are very clean and are great. First-year students might need to live outside the campus for a year, but the accommodation and transportation are all arranged by the institute itself. The registration process for the hostel is very easy, as hostels are compulsory here.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

Students can take admission here after getting a rank better than 35000 (For General Category) in JEE Mains Examination. However, the cutoff may increase or decrease a bit. The overall admission process is very smooth, as it is done by JOSAA and CSAB counsellors.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

Likes

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

Likes

college provides nice venue good study environment

It is so far from the main road a lot to walk

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

Placement Experience:

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

Dislikes

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

I cleared JEE MAINS and on the basis of my rank, I applied for many colleges. I was specifically looking for the top two engineering branches that is Computer Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering and have applied for many but could not get into it due to higher rank category. Earlier I got Civil Engineering in NIT SILCHAR then I got Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT KOTTAYAM. I preferred IIIT KOTTAYAM over NIT SILCHAR because of the branch since Electronics and Communication Engineering is considered the second best branch after Computer Science Engineering. Yes, I got rejection from other colleges because the eligibility criteria for those colleges were securing high rank but my rank was not up to the mark. To get into such colleges , students need to clear Jee Mains and secure a good rank to get into such colleges. For general category , students need to get the rank under 30000 to get admission to such colleges. Colleges are listed via Josaa Counselling. Admission procedure is the student need to bring some of the important documents such as 10th and 12th board marksheet , category paper , jee rank and other such important documents to get into the admission procedure. The college has a very attractive campus and it is very new so the facilities are also relatively new.
