- Diverse culture: Here the students are literally from all the corners of India. So you get very diverse culture to explore.
- 9 pointer advantage: If your CGPA is above 9 then you don't have to attend classes. Like the 75% criteria will not applicable on you.
- FFCS: The FFCS is fully fixable course selection in which we can design our time-table and can choose the faculty to whom we want to study.
Dislikes
- Over-Crowding : The intake of VIT is extremally high if I talk about my batch in 2021 batch there are approx. 7500 student present. Hence the campus is so much crowded.
- High-Competition: Because of high in-take the competition also increases in thing like hostel-selection, placement ,etc.
- Extra Ordinary Restrictions: In campus we have so much restrictions to follow , in-time of boys is 9 pm and for girls it's 8:30 PM which they follow so strictly. there are PDA guards also.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of CSE is kind of up to date according to industry standards ( I know only of CS because I am from that branch). We have a 1:70 as faculty: student ratio with relative marking. The faculty are experienced and well qualified. For a given semester 3 exams got conducted namely (CAT-1, CAT-2, and FAT), FAT is the final assessment test while CATs are to secure internal marks. To pass a particular subject you need at least 40/100 in FAT and 50/100 in internals.
Internships Opportunities
In the college Curriculum, it is mandatory to do an internship after the 4th sem and after the 6th sem, and in the 8th sem we have to do 6 months internship. Companies that give internship offers are Amazon, Jp Morgan, etc. in 2023 a total of 4933 internships have been offered by the college CDC (Career Development Cell).
Placement Experience
Placement in the college is good as all the student who seeks placement gets the placement either from big-tech companies or by mass recruiting. The placement is divided into four categories: Marquee offers (above 20 lakhs), Super Dream package (above 10 lakhs), Dream package (above 7-8 lakhs), and Mass-recruitment.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure : Five Categories- 1st Category : 2lac/yr, 2nd category : 3lac/yr, 3rd category : 4lac/yr, 4th category : 4.5lac/year and 5th category : 5 lac/year. And NRI category is between 8-9lac/year. You can get a scholarship if your rank in viteee is less than 1000.
Campus Life
Annual fest name: Riviera, This fest is so awesome, generally very talented high-profile celebrities come to perform. This fest is for 4 days you can search on YouTube for more info. Tech fest name: Gravitas, In this fest many technical events and hackathons got conducted and guest speakers like Geekforgeeks founder, and Bluelearn founder, abdul bari come to inspire students. The campus is so beautiful but it also comes with so many restrictions. The library in VIT'V is good with almost all journals and books and with a pretty good study environment. In VIT'V there are so many clubs covering all most all domains of interest. You can take part in any of the clubs and start learning to form your peers and juniors.
Admission
If you want to take admission you can take it by giving VITEEE and according to your rank, you will get the branch. There are generally five categories of fee structure and depending upon your financial condition and availability of resources you can choose the branch and category. You can find the viteee form online through their official website. And yes if you want direct entry into the college(without any exam) you can take it by taking admission in the NRI category. Your fees will be much high but you will get admission to your favorite branch.
