The college management were not flexible with structure and rules as one may have hope.

B.EL.ED(BACHELORS OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION) is a course regulaged in only University of Delhi.It is four year programme for which one has to pass an entrance testmAlso there are only around 350 seats all over India.I scored a 49 rank on union list and opted for Miranda House as it is a college I always wish to get in.Also it is not far from my house.

B.EL.ED curriculum focuses on holistic development of its student. The curriculum provides opportunity to apply the theories by giving opportunities to teach in year first third and fourth year(whole year). Also students can choose topics to research on and make a detailed analysis. We have different workshops which consist development workshop planning workshops and subjects like psychology gender and schooling and school planning.Curriculum provides scope of discussion,research work, field trips and group work.

Yes our college provides internship but it is unpaid for my course.My internship was planned for 60 working days in school which required hard work and lesson planning.It was a tough and exhausting but worth.

For B.EL.ED schools like Bharat National Public School, Karkardooma,Presidium and NGO like shikshalya came and offerEd jobs.Shikshlya offered 15,000(monthly)where schools offered around 30,000.The schools and ngo come with their presentation and orient the interested students. Then whoever wants to have an appointment for interview can contact them personally.

College fee is feasible and fee structure is according the university rules.As it is a under government fees is not high.It is around 6,000 for honors degree and 12,000 for B.EL.ED (anually).

Miranda House is known for promoting social causes like educating women and empowering them.Miranda house offers workshops on gender equality, justice and rights. Students from all walks of life different ethnicity study here.Miranda house organised cultural fests,promote causes like women freedom.

One has to pay about 50 thousand amount for year which includes room facility food and other living requirements. 2 people can share a room with 2 separate beds and study tables provided.Rooms are proper ventilated.But rooms are given only when a student comes from distant places. Delhi NCR students are not given permission except for differently able students. Dorm food offers different menu and has a set time table. Never had health issues with dorm food.

Senior students in my course helped us with choosing our liberal options (have to choose a subjects in second year)and oriented how it will effect us in internship and further in jobs.It was very helpful.

The projects field work and internship were very hectic and demanded a tough schedule.Exams are also tough but nothing compared to the field work.The classes starts at 8:30 in the morning till 4 in the evening.Sometimes it is extended till 5 or 6 leaving students exhausted.The exams for our course are held annualy.We do not have a semesters however we do have house exams but they are optional.

I had to sit for an entrance and on the basis of ranking we got the colleges.Students which were higher in the ranking had a choice. The forms are released in last week of may or first week of june afyer board results.Forms can be filled after 12.The form requires student's details like 10 and 12 marks. Exam is held in July end. The exam is of 140 marks. The weitage of 12 marks are only around 20%rest students are ranked on the basis of entrance.

A lot of teachers are involved with NCERT AND curriculum planning so they possess a lot of experience which they are willing to share.Some are teaching and doing their PHD in education.The staff is sufficient for and qualified for the course.They take initiatives to arrange workshops for their particular subject.It feels great to see that they are independent to decide how to teach a particular concept in class.
