The faculty, societies and students here are amazing
You can reach out to teachers anytime for their help or consult.
The library is wonderful with many options for books.

Dislikes

The food at the canteen is below average but now they're working on improving the menu and changing staff
I think they should add more knowledgeable courses in the vocational department
Few of the classrooms are really small and the furniture there too

I was always interested in accounts that's why I preferred to choose this degree. It's an all-girls college but there's also male staff in the college. The teachers here are brilliant and you can always reach out to them for any help.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here is decent enough for college in DU. I paid around 15K in my first year of college but in second year the fees raised up to 18K which was not so convenient for some students, though the college later helped them by giving them time. The scholarship details are all available on the college's official website.

Campus Life

SYMPHONY, the annual fest of college is held every year, which may not be as big as fest at top colleges of DU but it's still a great vibe. There are a lot of books in the library which you can issue anytime. The sports opportunity here for girls is great. The societies are also amazing.

I took admission through the merit base for BCom Hons. You can follow through with the cut-off list released by DU itself. All the details about application forms, fees, and dates are available on the official website of DU.

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

Faculties are best. They teaches you and create never ending bond with you.
Infrastructure is good but the area is small , the greenery is amazing and flowers are sooo sweetest.

Dislikes

No hygiene in canteen. Avoid eating from canteen.

The curriculum is highly relevant notably the focus on real world applications and Advanced Financial reporting. It prepared me well for professional life. Improvement is needed in digital tool exposure.

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

A students perspective on jdmc

I choose Janki Devi Memorial College mainly because it is a Delhi University College and has a good academic environment. I had applied to a few other DU colleges as well but the cutoffs is some of first slightly higher so, I could not get my preferred course there. When I got admission in Janki Devi Memorial College, I found that the faculty, infrastructure and overall environment is good, so I decided to continue here instead of waiting for further rounds. In comparison to other college I considerd JDMC has a disciplined environment, supported teachers and regular academic activities. The crowd is decent and the college focuses well or academics along with society and extra curricular activities which also influenced my decision.The admission process was conducted through Delhi University procedure. Eligibility depends on completing class 12th and qualifying through the entrance process used by DU. After the after the results and cut off education list are released, students confirmed their seats by submitting documents and paying the fees online. Overall admission process is what all the competition and cut off can be high with me getting into top colleges difficult. Admission process was through CUET UG exam. The selection was done through CSAS portal based on our preference list and marks in CUET exam.
