Course Curriculum Overview
In this college, the faculty is mainly from Bengal itself. Faculty have enough experience and knowledge as many of them have done their Ph.D. course from IITs, NITs, Jabalpur University, and many more good universities. Style of teaching is mainly on blackboard and some teachers use the PPT for teaching. The mode of communication is mainly English. Most of the faculty is good but some faculty is not that good in teaching.
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall for my time, it is around 2 lakes per year including hostel facilities. As per as I know fees have hiked since then and for each admission year fees are increased by some amount. The semester fees include everything except the mess fees which you have to pay for respective hostels.
Campus Life
My overall campus life is pretty good, somehow it is hectic but it’s nice to be in a prestigious college in India, as it is under the central government and is for those who cleared JEE Mains, so it has a good academic environment here. There is a lot of competition in scoring higher rank in class as there are good students from all over India. There is a mall near the college and many clubs, party centers, and restaurants. There is not that much crowd on the streets. There are many fests conducted by the college as the college consists of many clubs and societies that conduct the events, workshops, and fests, Events are conducted throughout the year which is a very good option for the students to upskill themselves.
Admission
When I first entered college, my experience was very nice, the breeze, the campus, and the overall infrastructure looked good at first sight. Trees, gardens, and greenery are everywhere. New buildings are in construction and also already constructed so it’s nice. The hostels are nice especially Hall 11, and Hall 14, food in Hall 1 is best but only for 4th-year students. One problem I felt is the area of the college is very less, buildings look very close and open space is less. Grounds are not that much maintained. The auditorium is huge and nice. The faculty of the college is mainly from Bengal. Some are nice some are not. You have to score around 96-97 percentile to enter in this college under the Civil Engineering course. It’s an engineering course and eligibility is that you have to clear JEE Mains exam with a good score. Civil engineering in this college is not that good because of the not that much good faculty, civil engineering is the hardest course in this college it.
