Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This course is growing rapidly. of course, computer science is evar lasting future field. here they follow a fast-track course and industrial training course in which fast track course will be like a 15-hour 20 hours course where normal subjects are taken by college staff ( all are PhD holders ) and in industrial training computer courses are taken by industrial experts.. they have two cia.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Zoho TCS HCL Tata Virtusa Bosch Mahindra Amazon Microsoft Google JP Morgan Cognizant and many companies for various roles like Software Development Engineer, App Developer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Web Developer and so on

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement! Placement! Placement! SKCET is known for placement and it's top 2 in Coimbatore for placement below PSG. Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Zoho, TCS, HCL, Tata, Virtusa, Bosch and many more than 170 companies were the for placements. they do bunk hiring and normal hiring too

Fees and Financial Aid

Seriously fees are worth it. though it is 1.5lakh the training they give and placement opportunities are worth the course. they themselves avail a 7.5% reservation quota, SC ST scholarship, virtue scholarship and so on. People are getting placed mostly in product companies rather than service companies

Campus Life

Infrastructure Is Damn Awesome!!! college is one of the most beautiful colleges in India. filled with greenish trees and cloudy weather. it is like a mini tourist place where sports and extracurricular activities are not given importance. clubs are available only for the first years. from second-year-only hackathon clubs

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel f block is like 5 star hotel bcz it's 1,50,000 other blocks are like normal hostel where 4 people in a room.. G block is Ac block where fees is 1,75,000.. but menu quality would be ok.. bcz here it is only VEGETARIAN!!! No no veg even in special days !!

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

The admission process was very easy. For both Government Quota Students and management students they did admission in seperate building which is actually 1st yr's classes. Each Room has separate teachers for checking the required applications like 12th certificate, 10th certificate, community certificate and so on. Then they gave an admission form to fill in with basic details. then in another room, they asked us to deposit money in a bank.

Other Applied Colleges

Anna University - [AU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I didn't get that college in Government Quota

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every. One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and comprehensive, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications. A Brief Overview of SKCET as an Atmosphere

I chose this college as it was closer to me than other colleges i applied for. I got a seat in HITS, as well as CUK. I declined them both for having poor placement records, something that SKCET excels in. Even though i am not a hosteller, the hostel food was reported to be very bad by my friends. This might be a negative point for those looking to stay in the hostel. Other hostel facilities like cleaning, space, etc are quite good still. One of the main ways to gain entrance into these collleges is to do the 12th grade exams well, after which you can apply to the college through the TNEA scheme. It is easy to get into the college provided you have a cutoff above 170 in your 12th boards. Once i got into the college, the admission process was quite easy, except that they expected the entire year fees to be paid upfront. Overall a 7/10 experience....Read More
