- infrastructure have to develop a little bit here
- placements for all branches were not same, so for some difficult branches like civil you have to work much harder.
- college should have some more essential things just like large library, swimming pools etc
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical Engineering at NIT Durgapur because of my passion, and also the faculty of mechanical Engineering branch at NIT Durgapur was so efficient, their way of sharing knowledge is easy to understand, and also they encourage students very much, Every semester is of 5months. In every sem, there will be mid-exams after 2½ months, and semester exams will be held at the end of the semester. If we listen to the classes properly, passing is not a matter, it's very simple.
Internships Opportunities
internships can be obtained only by CSE and ECE students, for other branches it was very few students can get internships, companies that offer interships were hcl, intel, iisc, nxp, semiconductor, ST microelectronics, and projects like Samsung and Prism, etc. will be there here.
Placement Experience
placements of Nit Durgapur were decent enough, just you just have to give your minimum effort, from the 6th semester onwards placements drive will start, top reputed recruiters of NIT Durgapur include TCS Ninja, pwc, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, etc, more than recruiters part 100icipated in the placement drive. The highest package was 70lpa and the average was 13.64 LPA. Total placements percentage was 83%. if we get a desired placement we can go for it, or else if you have a plan of higher studies you can. Maximum students will get placements easily with their minimum efforts.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee was 78800, every category student has separate scholarships, and we have to browse for scholarship based on our category, If there is a financial problem you can get a student loan, and in 4th year you will get a decent placement if you work enough.
Campus Life
There were two fest celebrated on our campus AAROHAN and RECSTACY. They are conducted in March and April. So many types of books are available in the library, classrooms are peaceful and all-sufficient availabilities are there. all types of sports competitions were held. Hostel Facilities
Every room consists of 3 members, and they provide a bed, table, chair, cupboard, and study lamp in the room, The mess quality was not that much good, so we had to adjust in case of food. The hostel registration and etc. process will be held at the alloted hostel only, we have to bring the necessary documents mentioned. Taking a room outside the campus is not necessary.
Admission
Taking jee mains as an entrance exam, the eligibility is a minimum pass, we have to visit https: //jee main.nta.ac.in website to learn about the application form, application fee, application dates, etc. There will be reservation benefits in every institute to know them you have to visit every institute's official website. As I observe there is so much improvement in the application process.
