What Students Say

Likes

Good campus life, best seniors, good mentor

Dislikes

Little bit college infrastructure need to be repaired otherwise best college in odisha

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Chemical Engineering for research and development. It's a good course here, you can easily get placement and get more knowledge. All faculties are good they teach very crystal clearly and exams happen per semester two exams. To pass the exam needs to read properly the particular subject.

Class Size: 77Course Fees: INR 31500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Rourkela Steel Plant, Cognizant, Wipro etc. offer internships depending on your skills and where you want to do the internship to get a good stipend. VSLV rocket, Smart Indian hackthon etc. Many projects have been. You join the college and show you can participate in this to grow your skills and development to get a good placement.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 6th semester onwards you get eligibility but you need to clear all the exams, don't keep backlogs otherwise you can't seat in the placement. Companies visited like TCS, Adani, Tata power, Amazon etc. In 2022, 47 lakhs was the highest package and the average is 7-8 lakhs. Almost all get placed in the placement. I want to get a good placement if not maybe opting for an MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee structure is quite affordable than other colleges, fees increase per semester a little bit not more. You also get scholarship opportunities for only reservation quota students, you also get good placement here.

Campus Life

Quite a good and calm place with a good greenery area. A lot of clubs are here like Idea Innovation Club, Robotics club, Dance Club, music club etc. You get very much here to learn. Some seniors also give you the opportunity to work with them. Here, also Tech fest and cultural fest happen called SAMAVESH X VASSANUT.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Average hostel rooms are there you can stay. Food is average and cleanliness is okay. The minimal registration process is there for the hostel and is affordable. You also get a Hostel for PG students. Overall good facilities are there.

Hostel Fee: INR 36500 per year

Admission

First, you need to clear the jee mains exam after that you need to get a good rank to show that you can get eligibility for the preference course. Reservation benefits are there it depends upon the college rules. You can easily get admitted to this college.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Buckle up Journey in Vssut

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. The eligibility of our college is 45 percent. The admission process is quite hassle free. As once you got the seat in ojee counselling....Read More

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
