Likes
- Campus Life is very good. It is a open-campus college. There are many tourists places you can visit like the world famous Hirakud dam.
- Infrastructure is good and the college is constantly under construction and many new infrastructure is being made.
- Faculty and placement are both good. Faculties are very cooperative.
Dislikes
- Students living in hostels have an intime at 7pm. You cannot go outside the hostel after that.
- As a first year student you have to wear formals( except civil engineering students).
- In my opinion some subjects are taught unnecessarily but the new education policy may change it.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course by my choice. Faculty members are qualified with good teaching skills. They are very cooperative and you can approach them any time you need help.term exams occur at a gap of 4-5 months. And you can pass any exam if you have an overall idea of the subject and for good scores, you have to work hard.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offer internships with stipends. You can visit the training and placement cell of the college to get the details. You have to submit a major project by the end of the final year in order to get a degree.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college and you can see the no. Of students placed in various companies and their packages on the college website. The highest package is 47 lpa (off-campus) and 17 lpa in on-campus placement. The average placement is 7lpa. 90% of students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a budget-friendly University and although there is a fee hike but it is much less compared to other top colleges. There are many scholarships available which you can avail but of course very limited for the general category.
Campus Life
There are two annual fests one cultural fest which is known as Vassaunt and the other is tech fest which is known as Samavesh. There is a huge central library where you can find any book, you need and has a good environment for study. All classrooms are well equipped with smart boards which enhance the method and quality of teaching. You can find all major sports on the campus and an annual sports fest is there called Illumina where you can participate in different sports. There are many different clubs starting from many different tech clubs, singing and dancing clubs, drama clubs, literary clubs, sports clubs, and many more.
Hostel Facilities
All the students are accommodated in hostels. Each room has 3-4 students. Rooms are provided with cupboards and tables. Hostels have washing machines, different types of indoor sports, and badminton courts. Registration for a hostel is quite simple, it can be done on the college website during admission. Food quality is good.
Admission
The admission process is quite simple. First, you have to appear Jee Mains or Ojee and have to secure a good rank. The application form and its date are available on the ojee website where you can find all the details. Selection is done in three rounds and if any seat remains vaccinated then a spot round admission occurs after the completion of admission.
