Course Curriculum Overview

3

I was always intrigued by technology. Advances in the medical field and I feel there is scope in this field. The student-faculty ratio is around 1:20. Teachers are elected through exams. Teaching is not up to the mark. Term exams were conducted regularly. Studying one week before exams is enough to pass the exams.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are eligible to attend placement from the 6th sem itself. Many students get placed in that sem, especially in its sector. Around 100 companies come to our college each year. The highest package is around 10lpa. I want to pursue mtech after my batch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are fixed by the government. Since it's a government college it is run by taxpayers so the fees we pay are very marginal. The total cost to study here will be less than 1lakh for 4 years. I didn't get any scholarship since I was from a middle-class family. Scholarships are provided based on economic conditions and caste.

Campus Life

3.5

Tamil mandram conducts Muttamizh vizha every year. Each department conducts its department function each year. The library has well well-equipped stock of books with various journals. Classroom has basic amenities with the smart board in some classes. Several clubs are present. Anyone can any club without any prior requirements.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Each room has 3 switchboards. First-year rooms are moderate and facilities degrade each year. Mess food is worst. Most students end up consuming food out since hostel food is subpar. The hostel is very affordable with hostel fees of around 7k per year and mess fees of 2k per month.

Admission

Anybody with a decent cutoff in the 12th board can apply here through the Tnea counseling. The application form is available on the website. The fee is around 2500. After the results are announced release notification. Reservation benefits are there. Many seats are unoccupied.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
