Remarks

I feel that the college has a lot of potential for growth but it doesn't really grow in the right direction. Overall experience has been decent due to my friends.and this college is on a verge of becoming an IIT.

Entrance Preview

I wrote SAT Subject tests. I landed up in the College by luck. Had never heard of the College before. Nope, no interview. I chose ECE since this was the closest there was to the field of Music (Music Producer, Sound Engineer, etc) Wanted to pursue something in Music but thought of taking Engg as a backup option. Have no interest in Engg whatsoever.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Ece is very challenging. Lots of tests, assignments and the atmosphere is very competitive. Nope, practical learning is close to zero. yes many research initiatives are taken by the students . many optional subjects are there from which students can choose according to their interest.

Internships Opportunities

6 month internship semester for the B.tech pursuing students .work in Industries/Companies to gain exposure and experience on the basis of which they are graded. The internship can be done Via On-Campus interviews or even through Off-Campus screening methods.average stipend is 20000 rs per month.

Placement Experience

I've heard it's declining. That's because there's no focus on practical teaching by the professors, due to which students only have bookish knowledge (which too they tend to forget over the time period of 4 yrs). That leaves companies disappointed, who then debate whether they should show up the next year. I don't know the percentage of students placed. For that, go check the Universities website. Major companies are usually Amazon, SanDisk, Mckenzie, etc. Average package depends on the profiles that they come for.overall the average package is 7.5 lakhs.

College Events

3.5

The biggests one was PECfest. It's seen as pretty big (atleast by the College). Don't know the exact footfall.could be anywhere from thousands to Lakhs. Organization is above average. College authorities are shameless in this matter. They don't help at all. All the finances have to be obtained from sponsors. The College doesn't provide any kind of help.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I guess it's pretty affordable compared to private colleges. around 55000 per semester

Fees and Financial Aid

no scholarship from college side but education loan can be availed from banks on the name of college.schollarship is given to the students who top the semester.

Campus Life

3

It's pretty good here. There's Dramatics, music, debating, sports, etc. I get decent amount of opportunities. But the clubs are solely managed by the fourthyearites. They can get arrogant at times.Sometimes going to these clubs can seem like a time waste since you don't really learn anything and it just seems like a formality. So nowadays,I prefer to utilize my time in more important things in order to better myself. Facilities depend on the club. Facilities are okayish...nothing great tbh.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yup, I'm a hosteler. First sem we had to share rooms; now we have single rooms. Yup I've heard there is a PG but never seen them. The mess food is sometimes decent (at best) but many a times, it's just too bad! On top of that, the mess people have a lot of restrictions on everything food item. You can have only a bit of this or a bit of that, blah blah blah.

Alumni/Alumna

Not much. Very less, infact. Nope, not that I know of atleast. Yes, I've heard they help out a lot; like they helped in development of Mechatronics lab.

Exam Structure

Yes They are very tiring. We've a very hectic time table!

Faculty

2.5

What's the use of qualifications when you don't know how to teach? Some teachers are highly qualified. yet they fail to get anything into our heads by making lectures super boring. Some teachers are good though. Interaction depends from teacher to teacher. Some interact quite a lot the others just "try" to teach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read
