Remarks

Good college to show case your talents as well as to build your career. But the only problem is that the college is situated in interior and is a little far from the Bangalore city but is near by to the airport and railway station.

Entrance Preview

I got into through KCET. I joined my college for B.Tech because of my friend. No, there is no interview process or such but there are very selective during admission. I took Civil Engineering and Civil engineering is the best branch in our college as the chancellor himself is a civil engineer. So we are one of the dominating branch in our college actually

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Civil engineering is one of the best branches from years. But I had interest in construction I chose this branch and I'm happy to get into Reva university because the school of civil engineering it the TOP branch here in academics as well as in other co curricular activities. Since it is a university they frame their own syllabus and we learn 60% of the subject in class and 40% in the lab ie, practical knowledge what we get is about 40% and this option is highly impossible to be found in VTU colleges. Yes, many research initiatives are taken by the institute. Divyashree constructions is one of the example for this.

Internships Opportunities

Last year of our B.Tech Program we will have internship and they will guide us well not only for projects and job but also for higher studies.

Placement Experience

4.5

I'm not much familiar about that. They say 100% placement takes place for those who have got more than 8 points. But as ik 85% students definitely get placed in good companies. Capgemini, cognizant, wipro, Infosys, Accenture and many more MNC's visit our college every year and for civil and Mechanical students, core companies also do visit our college.

College Events

5

Since the students in our college are with various cultural background our college celebrate all festivals in the campus. The college will first start of with the freshers day then followed by other cultural events. We have sports day in the month of October usually. We celebrate every festival in our college beautifully. Especially the ganesha festival, with colours and dance etc followed by onam, then in the month of February we have our College fest called REVAVAMP where we all students wait for this fest Everyyear. It goes on for 3 days. The origanisation manages things well and make it a grand success.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to VTU colleges this college is a bit costly. I paid 96,000 through KCET. But since it is a university I don't think it costs more.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided for students who deserve it and who are from poor backgrounds. Loans can also be up proved and taken and studies can be continued.

Campus Life

4.5

Sports and extra curricular activities are encouraged with good support. Especially Cricket, Basketball, football and volleyball have a good test score from years in inter college matches.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I'm a day scholar so I don't know much about hostel and things. As I have heard it has good facilities but a bit costly.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. I should still experience much more things in my college as I'm a first year student. So I can't tell completely about this.

Exam Structure

Sometimes it's freaking at the end of the day but still it is fun because we enjoy even in labs. Internals are not so stressful. It's easier to manage and study and if you're a hostile it's even more easier because of the library facilities and stuffs.

Faculty

4

Highly qualified Lecturers and staffs. People who have completed their masters in engineering are only been selected. They are friendly and very interactive too. Quality of teaching is excellent.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
