A perfect JIS College of engineering Review.

I chose this course because I wanted to learn programming as programming and AI is the future of our world. Faculties in our college is very educated and somewhat supportive. Each department has an appropriate number of faculties. Exams are conducted at a perfect rate and the difficulty is moderate.

Internships are available in our college. Internshala was introduced to us on the very first month of our college life. One internship has to be done in each semesters. Stipends are also available ranging from 800-15000. Many people build apps or build a little version of a city for internships.

After entering into the 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visits the campus such as Accenture, Infosys, TCS, byjus, etc. Many students get multiple offers and some gets single offers. Package is somewhat low but placement rate is alright. I would love to get a campus placement and if I don't I would try for off campus placements or might pursue MBA.

Fees are comparatively low in our college. In case of scholarships, there are numerous options available. The scholarship which most of the people apply for is Swami Vivekananda scholarship which provides 60k annually to every student who had an handsome result in 12th. Financial assistance is provided to reserved students and students with Tuition fee waiver (TFW) certificate. Jobs on campus are also available.

Life at campus is very colourful and lively. There are lot of clubs to indulge in such as music club, dance club, coding club, painting club, photography club, environmental club, sports club etc. Tech fests are conducted annually in the month of November or December and annual fests are also conducted and organised in the earlier months of the year. Books and journals are available in plenty in the libraries. Classrooms are available in two forms. One is the standard classic classroom with chalk and board and the other one is digital classroom for group discussion or flipped learning. Sports event and various events are organised throughout the year and many social media groups are run by the different presidents of different clubs.

I was admitted in the college on the basis of my WBJEE rank. I opted for counseling and got a seat in the IT department in the 2nd round of the counseling. There are reservation benefits but I did not opt for it. Admission process was smoother than expected. Cutoff is not that high. For a general candidate you can get into the CSE or IT department if you secure 60k rank.

For admission the admission department asks some questions about our higher secondary result. You can admitted in to the college through Jee Mains rank or WBJEE rank. I got admitted on the basis of my WBJEE rank. I got a seat at my IT department through the second round of counselling of WBJEE.
