Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course due to my interest in the course of Computer Science. There are around 60 students per class and they have to take around 5-6 examinations per semester. All the faculties are well educated and have great subject knowledge. They are friendly and take good care in nurturing the students. The term or semester exams happen around 4 or 5 months once every year and it can vary according to each semester. They are not so much difficult to pass if you do proper preparation
Placement Experience
Placements start from the 7th semester most internships can even start from the 6th semester. There are over 100 companies that visit the campus which include Amazon, Microsft ,Paypal and other well-distinguished companies. The official highest package is 57 LPA and the average package varies from 8 to 8.5 LPA every year. Around 80-85% of students get placed which is a high rate compared to other local colleges in the state. I plan to get placed in a software-based company
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees for the course B.Tech range from 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum depending on whether the student stays in the hostel or is a day scholar. Scholarships are provided for the students who score high in the SRMJEE entrance examination or the board exams or the JEE examination. They also provide around 80-85% of campus placements in the final year on the interview drives.
Campus Life
AARUSH and MILAN are the biggest tech and annual fests that are conducted in the college every year where students from various colleges participate from all over the country. There is a wide range of books available within the department and access is also quite easy . The classroom is spacious and equipped with air conditioning. Encouragement of sports among the students is appreciated in the universities and there are a wide range of different clubs available within the campus.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is 50% in your boards (Class 12) . Scholarships are provided for students if they have scored good marks in their boards or the JEE entrance examination. The criteria differ for every admission year. The application process is accessible on the official SRM website specially designed for admissions . Once you have applied using the application form all the further details will be notified using email. The admission process was quite smooth and it would be appreciated if they could come up with more timely replies.
