What Students Say

Likes

The beautiful scenerio of nature attacks me most .The trees fields different types of fruits and flowers everything is fantastic.
The behaviour of the teachers are so friendly. They help us in every possible way.Their lesson are very impactful in life.
The library I like the most . Because of different kinds of books, knowledge..

Dislikes

I like schedule classes, though I am a dayscholar so very late classes like classes after 5 pm I don't like.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because 60%of indian population is directly involved with agriculture.I want to help them involving technology with their hardworking because nowadays technology improvement and intelligence is very much essential in all field.Agriculture implements and machine can help them a lot. Our faculty has 2-3 teachers per subject and students are around 26-30 number in every year. Our faculty members and respected teachers are very helpful and well qualified. Two semesters are taken in one year and question are set by other teachers of other universities, so exams are quite difficult. But one can pass it because our syllabus is fully covered by our teachers in scheduled time .We also do extra classes. Our faculty teachers teaches us very efficiently.

Class Size: 26Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fee is 12500 rupees per semester for dayscholar students and semester fee is 13100 rupees for hosteller students. There are total 8 semester in 4year course duration. University student scholarship is available for students who get CGPA over 6.5 . Swami Vivekananda scholarship also available for students.

Campus Life

Annual fest is called SOCIAL in our university. It is a great fest . Every year many cultural programmes are done. We have a big and beautiful Central Library. In my opinion Library is the best place in our university. Many many books are available in this central library. The atmosphere is so calm .Our faculty also have a small library. Various social groups in Facebook WhatsApp are run by students.

Admission

I cracked WBJEE exam after my HS exam and took admission in this university.Based on my marks of WBJEE exam and my rank , I got admission here. I had taken science stream in my 11and 12 class so I was eligible for this course. Admission process is good overall...

Likes

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly. Also you have access to library which is good, teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students. Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms, labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects, real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs, networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

My point of view towards my university

The admission process is merit based. Class 12th result has been taken into account. The student domicile must be West Bengal and he /she shall be from science or vocational stream in his /her 12th class. The application form and other details regarding the admission process is available in university's website . Seats are also available in reservation category. Interested students can check the availability of reserved seats from the university website. Less number of seats are available in other board category compare to west bengal board .The availability of seats for other board students should be increased. It will help a lot of students from other boards who are willing to take admission in this university to get admitted. Students who give icar exam are also Eligible to take admission in this university....Read More
