The physical structure of college is good as are its surroundings.The college has created may organisations which is very nice
Chances of job are much than other universities.

I don't think there is something that one should dislike
It's possible that some students have negative attitudes

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of my passion and interest in engineering. The faculty is well-educated and student-friendly. 1:40 is the faculty-student ratio. All the faculty are PhD or master's degree holders. Their teacher method is soo nice and loving. Term exams are always on time. They are once every month. It was not so difficult to pass them. Internships Opportunities

Summer trainings, full-term optional / compulsory internships, ‘On-the-job’ trainings, study tours, and skill enhancement events and workshops are extensively integrated in LPU curriculum. They expose students to real work environments and provide an opportunity to apply their learning in real life situations. On-site experience has been gained by students through industry internships in corporate giants like Cognizant, Microsoft, Infosys, ABB, ISRO, Simplex to name a few. Civil, Mechanical And Electrical Engineering Marvel EngineeringStudents created a huge 41 feet tall metallic structure composed of 12 cars called ‘Metal Boy’. It was to be the main center of attraction at Auto Expo 2014.

In the 8th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. The top recruiters of Lovely Professional University (LPU) placements in 2023 included Infosys, L&T, Amazon, HCL, IBM, TCS, ICICI Bank, etc. The highest package was 40lakh per annum .average package is 3.5 lakh per annum. About 60%students are placed. After getting my degree, there is a chance to apply for many companies for the job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was decreased on going subsequent semesters. There was almost a 70000 fee per semester. My cost of the study is going to be around 6 lacs in 4 years. I got the scholarship namely NSP but no financial assistance.

Campus Life

There was a tech fest maned 'Youth vibe' which is the grand annual youth fest where more than 10 communities compete to win audience heart by giving artistic musical, dramatical & Theatrical performances. Books and journals are easy to available in the library. We can take books from the library for a certain period of time for reading. Classrooms are well maintained. An Annual sports meet is organised every year on the campus. There are many social groups namely AASHRAY || SPADE || SML || CLUB20 || RISE || SANKALAP

Hostel Facilities

Facility like bed,study table ,chair are provided. Meal quality of mess is not so good. Menu is quiet nice ,it includes all the basic and special meal. We have to apply for the hotel along with the admission. Hostel is quite affordable having a low charge. Hostel Fee : INR 70000 per year

Admission

For eligibility, the candidate should be 12th passed and have a minimum of 75%marks. Then giving JEE mains exam. This examination is held twice a year, the application fee was 650 for each exam. Application dates were in June and July. In the exam process, there should be proper management.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
