Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always had a passion for computer science and I wanted to have a deeper knowledge of the matter. That's why I chose this curriculum. The faculty:student ratio is 1:20. The faculties are well qualified from respected universities. The mid semester exam usually happens into 3 months of the semester. After one and a half months later the semester exams usually takes place. The question paper is modarate to difficult level. It is pretty difficult to pass the major paper.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies like Youthnity and Ediglobe provide their internships programs. You can start doing these internships from your first semester. This internship experience becomes very useful in the time of placement. These internships are mostly stipend. Here you can learn about the corporate world and learn to deal with the issues by yourself.

Placement Experience

4

In the 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Though you can start doing internships from the first semester. MNCs like Google, J P Morgan, Deloitte have visited in the past years. There is a placement cells to deal with this matter. You can be a part of the placement cell also. Highest package is 17 LPA and on an avarage package is 5-6 LPA. My plan after graduating is to study further for post graduate degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is fairly simple and semester based . The total fees of 4 years is nearly around 5 lakhs. There are student loan benefits and financial aids available. I am yet to find a job on campus. There are many scholarship you can compete for like Late Rukhmini devi goenka scholarship, Infar Scholarship etc.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is amazing. There are many fun activities you can do around the campus. There the 2 fields and a basket ball court . There are many social groups, clubs like Fine art society, robotics club etc. You can join any one of them as per your interest.

Admission

First you have to fill up the form by the end of the due date and put all the information correctly. There is no admission exam involved. You have to check the official website for the dates of the application, fees and all that. They will release a merit list. Based on that you will have to pay the admission fee and later on they will give you a date for physical verification. There are certain reservation befefits (if you fall under some catagory). Also there are quotas like sports and other things. The process is fairly simple in my opinion.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
