Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good and gives you a chance to first explore yourself and then choose the subjects you intend to take in 2nd year. Faculty, here, are very supportive and are always available in case any student seeks their help. Their teaching methods are also good and easy to understand.
Internships Opportunities
Internship Opportunities are quite good here. This year no ed-tech company has been floated and almost all of the batch is placed in companies like Capgemini, Dabur, Bajaj Finserv, and Mahindra Holidays.
Placement Experience
The placement of IMI Bhubaneswar is going comparatively very well compared to other same-tier colleges. From 4th semester onwards, students become eligible for final placements. Prominent recruiters here are Infosys, Capgemini, Nestle, Dabur, and Cognizant. Every year, 100 percent of students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was a little high for me, but there is no such cost to study as you get all the study materials ( offline and online ) free of cost. There is a scholarship opportunity for high rankers in entrance exams. One can also avail of loans for fee payment.
Campus Life
Life on Campus is good. There are various activities going on that keep the students engaged. There is an annual fest named Phronesis. Also, TedXIMIB is held every year. There are various clubs as well like Marketing club, HR club, Finance club and many more. Sports and Cultural events are also organized a regular intervals.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Facility is also good. The room is properly spaced with a Wardrobe, cupboard, Study table, and chair. Also, cleaning is done on a daily basis. Mess menu and food quality, taste are not bad. This is a fully residential campus means local people also need to take a room and stay at the hostel.
Admission
I applied through the CAT exam. The application form was very good giving an opportunity to express yourself through different perspectives and experiences. The application form was easily available on IMI Bhubaneswar's official website. For me, there was an interview round only but in the same interaction with the panel, the faculty took the WAT( Written Ability Test ) as well. The interview was not very tough or technical for me.
