Remarks

Overall the College seems to be the best in Mumbai area. It's been.a honour being a part. The infrastructure is attractive with all the basic facilities.

Entrance Preview

There's no particular entrance exam for the admissions here. The Admissions are based in merit ranks according to your scores in 12th boards.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The BBI course curriculum is pretty good. There are several concept clearing techniques used by the faculties. There are several workshops and visiting faculties in our college.

Internships Opportunities

Currently, there aren't any internships provided for BBI branch instead there are few Industrial visits conducted every year for the students skill development.

Placement Experience

3.5

Comparatively there are few placement drives for the students of BBI. The placement are based on the one's curriculum performance. The ratio of the selected students every year is pretty good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite affordable with all basic facilities. The amount which i had to pay this year was around 23,000 ₹ only. The amount was affordable to its best which several scholarship opportunity.

Faculty

The faculties are very well qualified in their respective subjects with a very good teaching standard. They are quite helpful and kind to the students and ever-ready to solve all the doubts of the students any time.

College is Good

Likes

Infrastructure is just too good- Building is Fully Air Conditioned
Placement are really decent for a Commerce Graduate around 6-7 Lakhs per annum
Lots of student Associations are there to gain practical exposure.

Dislikes

Very Strict Attendance Policy of 75 Percent.
Rigid and Time Consuming Course Structure
Lot of Fests are there but they do not match the Vibe like North Indian Colleges Fests

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent around 6-7 LPA and almost 50% students get placed and the Highest package is Around 22LPA . Many MNCs visit the college such as McKinsey,Barclays, Goldman Sachs etc. • I am planning to get placed in a MNC.

My special 3 years which I spend was golden to me

Likes

Most important thing I like about my college is they are like the whole college is so creative.
There are many different batches or mat department but when it comes to fest or festivals they comes together to celebrate it
Talking about placement, the placement cell is soo good that I'll say every colleges should have this level of college cell as they invited, big companies such as Deloitte, hdfc bank,KPMG

Dislikes

The point which I dislike about my college is they should increase campus
Some of the teachers really need to behave like when they talk to students they don't know the manners
Basically the watchman is not good at all I personally feel that they really need to change their watchman as their is many girls in my college so at least one or two lady watchmen should college hire for their safety

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my college they provide us a presentation concept in which they teach us about how to face the real world and the remove the fear of speaking to world .they try to make every student more confident in any manner. Basically my department is soo good that they teach us alot of real world how to speak, how to look, how to handle everything in professional manner

Likes

Teachers are well qualified and experienced
The curriculum is suitable for students who are doing professional courses like CA CS ACCA etc.
There is always a scope for starting a side hustle in this college. You will find many associations and clubs

Dislikes

The examination results are always unexpected. Correction of papers and result declaration is unsatisfactory as marks are not given properly.
The extra facilities provided in college seems to be just for name sake because there is very limited time to access the facilities.
The schedule of the college is dynamic and there is no concrete timetable. Teachers complete their syllabus in last moment

Course is relative to Mumbai University curriculum. College takes intiative in making the student confident as it includes practicing presentation skills and builds communication skills simultaneously.

An honest review of my college experience

I applied for S.I.E.S college of science, arts and commerce, Mumbai and kj Somaiya college of science, arts, and commerce. But i got confirmation in sk somaiya college. So I choose this college over others i Waited for this college because I heard many fascinating thing about this college. Other college like kj somaiya i didn't get admission because of percentage eligibility there was more cutoff comparatively. The eligibility of my college is minimum 80% above percentage and exams such as ssc board then CBSE board are required, if talking about experience I had a very mid experience because I didn't took all the required documents and i had to run to xerox place but one thing is good that the xerox place was available in the college itself . Admission process depends on you and your experience....Read More

The years I will remember.

I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. The eligibility depends on each years cut offs and requirements....Read More
