Course Curriculum Overview

Because I loved animals from a young age and also wanted to know about them. I would like to know their contribution to biodiversity. There were 35 students and 5 professors in my department. Hod and his other professors were also very good. Our classes were very simple. Due to which we understood each subject very well. 8 out of 10 can be given for review. Our term exams were completed after 3 months. The exams were not very difficult and were conducted on time. Passing was not very difficult as our classes were well structured so that each chapter was memorized well.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since our college was a government undertaking, the fees were not too high. In my case, the fee was a little higher as there was theory along with practical. Besides, everything was fine. The increase in course fees would not be much or little. Every year there was a slight increase. During our time there was nothing much except some government scholarships. I myself used to earn some side income as financial support. Job placement means after completion of graduation, except for some government jobs and placements at research centres. Thus there are no internship jobs with a stipend. Finally got a very good course.

Campus Life

4

Every year this was a major program in our college along with a department wise fest. So that different types of dances, songs and interesting programs were held. I was involved in several responsibilities in that program. Our program was completed with everyone's help and cooperation. Our textbook reading would have been completed from the library due to which some study expenses would have been saved. The classrooms were also very good with audio-video facilities. So that it would be convenient for us to have classes. There was football, cricket and table tennis. We had to participate in various tournaments in our college. Also, we used to run a self-help group with some professors and students of our college. From this comes help for the poor and needy living next door.

Admission

My college name is goaltore s b s s college which is a college under Vidyasagar University. The course I did here is zoology honours. I got admission to this course based on the result of h.s. No entrance exam was required. The number criteria was 55%. The admission application had to be taken from the college itself. The application date was most likely 15/05/2011. There was a reservation system based on caste which I did not get a chance because my caste is general. If the admission process is a little faster, it will be beneficial for students from outside to get admitted.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
