The placement rate of Nit Durgapur is quite good . As of now 2024 due to recession there is decline in the offers and their packages but it could go worse . Around 900 students are there in a batch of BTech in which placement percentage varies dept wise . CSE has 80 percentage, Ece has 65 percentage electrical has 75 percentage and rest of the dept have nearly 50 to 70 percentage . Mainly our clg hosts 3 fest ,the first one is AAROHAN - second largest Techno-Management fest in East India this is held during March start of the even sem , the second one is cultural fest REXCSTECY which is held after AAROHAN in April even semester and the last is a cultural event VIRASAT to showcase the Bengali culture with many events and sponsored guests of classical. The college provide with library with necessary books and wifi to study . recent infrastructure is Bieng developed in the campus which increases the quality of teaching . Fir sports the college is highly active to participate in INTERNIT TOURNAMENTS and Interhall leagues . Apart from this the department have their own societies to host events within the department .So with these many things u would get nice opportunities to connect and grow as an individual.

Hostels in Nit Durgapur are self sufficient . The rooms are alloted with 2 3 members per room as for final yrs the rooms are expected to be single rooms but due to some issues they are not provided from past 2 yrs . Another issue in the hostels are the wifi connection nd data speed . These are very limited and lags sometimes at a very crucial periods for which college is trying to upgrade . But it will take few years . The mess food are okay . Not so bad but not so good too the menu is Bieng decided by the hostel committee in which representatives of all part of India are choosen . So the menu is well distributed in this contact.
