RNSIT ISE Student First Year Overall Review

The curriculum at RNSIT is good enough to prepare the students for Tech Industry. We have theoretical as well as practical learning system. I like the way faculty tries to explain the concepts further deeply even though sometimes it doesn't have any relation with the syllabus. They use effective methods to make the class interesting as much as possible. I think they should focus more on practical teaching style. Even though most of the teachers tries to do it still some of them lacks on it. We get enough time to study for our internal exams and for our externals. The difficulty level lies between easy to moderate. Overall, it's a good experience to study here.

last year, according to RNSIT Statistics, 150 internship offers came for RNSIT ISE Department students. And internship opportunity is very good for CSE, ISE and ECE Departments. Overall, it's decent for the students.

From 6th semester they become eligible for campus placement. Average placement is only 6.5lacs per year which is okay okay. It should be improved. Adobe came and give 56lacs per year, and that was the highest placement. Companies like Accenture, Wipro, UiPath, Cognizant, Microsoft, Infos-ys, Google, IBM, etc comes for placement offer. The percentage of students getting placed ranges from 85-90%. I have plan to get placed at a good company and work.

It depends on the mode of admission which you are choosing. If you come from KCET then it will be 75000-80000 per year. For ComedK students it will be 2.5 lac- 2.6lacs per year. For Karnataka students they get numerous amount of scholarships especially girls but for outside Karnataka students especially General Category students, there are no scholarship opportunities.

Talking about social experience, it's quite decent. Not too good, not too bad, I would say. We have one big fest called Pantheon. In 2023, our seniors conducted it and the experience was good. Other than that, they conduct small functions, for example- they conducted Ethnic Wear Day, Barbenheimer Day, No Bag Day, etc which were super creative and enjoying. Library of RNSIT is huge. They have tons of academic books which you can read and borrow. They have a place called Discussion lounge which I like the most where you can discuss with your friends. The facilities in the classrooms are good. Sports facilities are good- we have A BasketBall court, A Badminton Court, Chess club, Kabaddi Club, etc. Extracurricular activites are okay okay. There are some friends of mine who are involved in so many clubs like RNSIT Algorithm Music Club, they have shared me that their experiences are quite good so far.

Admission process was smooth. To be eligible, students outside from Karnataka have to give ComedK to be eligible to apply for counselling process. For Karnataka students, they need to give KCET to be eligible. The cut-off for ISE ComedK rank is 12000 max. In comparison to Jee Mains, the level of ComedK exam is much more easy. The duration of ComedK is 3 hours and the number of questions are 180. There is no negative marking in ComedK entrance exam.
