Course Curriculum Overview
As every Engineering College in first year you learn almost every field of engineering from mechanical, bio, civil to CSE. In University after initial 1 month CT's are conducted for every 1 to 2 unit on a regular basis
Placement Experience
As a student at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur (SRMIST KTR), I can provide insights into the placement scenario at our college. The campus placements here are quite promising, and students become eligible from the seventh semester to participate in the recruitment drives. Several reputed companies visit our campus every year, offering a diverse range of opportunities. Some of the prominent names include TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, and many more. The number of offers made varies each year, but the placement cell consistently works to bring in a wide array of companies to cater to different fields of study. The highest and average packages offered depend on the company and the roles they offer. For instance, IT companies might offer different packages compared to core engineering companies. On average, the packages range from 3 to 12 lakhs per annum. The highest package can go even higher, reaching up to 20 lakhs per annum or more for top performers.
Fees and Financial Aid
After giving SRMJEEE paper on the basis of your rank you are offered various scholarships like Founders scholarship, Defence Scholarship and Sports scholarship. Tution fees for CSE core and AIML is 4.5 lakh per year
Campus Life
Campus Life is very good cultural fests are conducted like for freshers specially AARUSH and MILAN Library is very good it is of 4 floors Many workshops and clubs are organised for freshers and they can upgrade your skills
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is very good and various types of hostel are there like ac,non ac, etc. It's fees varies from 1.1 lakh to 3.5 lakh PG and flats are also available near the university and they are very cheap
Admission
Admission process was very smooth. Although there was a lot of crowd but SRM managed it very well. Eligibility: 12th PCM (60%) The SRMJEEE is conducted in 3 phases, 1st phase is the easiest one to get your dream branch.
