What Students Say

Likes

The music club... The faculties... The seniors
Canteen facility... View of the campus....
Infrastructure of the college... The lab equipments and all..

Dislikes

Assignments and labs... Too much time consuming
Busy schedule... Soo many classes ......
Classes from 9am to 5pm daily and the fast teaching method... strict teachers in labs

Course Curriculum Overview

My family told me chemical engineering is improving nowadays so I wanted to go for it. Our college prepares us to face the corporate world they encourage us to improve our communication skills and problem-solving ability. The frequency of timing of exam is a bit high... In the beginning, it was hectic but now we're used to it

Class Size: 76Course Fees: INR 41000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I can't share those as I'm a fresher I have not explored more about all these ... I'll ask my seniors for guidance... college provided scope for internships in nearby companies... Nalco and all ... But I don't have much idea about it sorry

Placement Experience

3.5

I don't have any idea after which semester one is eligible for campus placements but .. our college provides internship guidance from 2nd year... And the over all placement in this college is quite good .. the average is 5 to 6 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

So.. the hostel fees is Rs.45000 maybe .. but I didn't opt for hostel as I'm a local here... Soo I paid Rs.41000 for my 1st year tuition fee ... The college provides scholarship to students who score 8cgpa or above ... And the alumni also helps in finance of economically weak students

Campus Life

The club culture here is soo good .... The club's here are active and have a lots of achievements.... We have a social service society in our college too which helps in the education of the underprivileged children Here the college life is soo cool it's nice

Admission

I was in the general category so the cut-off was about... 85 percentile I guess... So I got admission in CHEMICAL ENGINEERING branch. I participated in OJEE counseling. There were no reservation benefits in this college. We took admissions by our rank on JEE mains. The admission process was good.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Buckle up Journey in Vssut

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. The eligibility of our college is 45 percent. The admission process is quite hassle free. As once you got the seat in ojee counselling....Read More

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
