Infrastrusture can be modified.New thing should be build.

Course Curriculum Overview

Serivice to humanity is the most attractive thing regarding this course. It deals with human life, so the preparation for it is amazing.Teaching method can be made more ideal and Digital. We have trimister exams.

Internships Opportunities

Intership is basically in college itself since its a medical college. Oppurtunites to lear is vast. The patient influx is very high.Pay scale at intership in assam is highest in the whole country. So financially it is good to go.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is not that fixed. But complete course requires less than 4 lacs. Different national and regional scholarships are there like Ishan Uday ,Minority schlorship etc.The interns are paid in this field

Campus Life

College is built in 1968. So the old infrastructures are little weak.The extracurricular activites are amazings.Sports like cricket, volleybal, TT are there. There are different societies.Over all campus is wow !!!!

Hostel Facilities

New hostels are awsome. Old ones are little disturbing.Meal is differently rated by different students. Hostel is more or less affordable.Menu includes Veg and non veg both. Meal is good overall.Rent is available in local.

Hostel Fee: INR 3500 per year

Admission

Admission was through NEET exam. One must be having Physics Chemustry and Biology in class 12th.Application form was released in NTA website.All the document verification was done online plus offline.Cuttoff of my college was 570+ for UR.If it would be completly online it would have been great.

The college has many trees which are good for fresh air
It has many sports opportunities for students
The infrastructure of the college is good

The locality is very rural and things are not easily available
Transportation facilities are not good..
The hostel accomodation is not enough for all students It's conjusted.

Likes

Our college has the state of the art infrastructure with a hudge patient load and exposure
A competitive and yet very healthy academics
Situated in the best location on the hilltop at the heart of the city

Dislikes

Proper facilities for spirts activities are yet to be done
A good campus life is what a gmcian would always long for
Proper canteen with a better menu and affordability

Placement Experience:

There is always 100% placements in govt medical colleges right from getting into internship, state rural service and then opportunities knocks the door of going for service or into post graduation in any dept.

Feel The college

Likes

The efforts of faculties is appreciable.
The laboratory equipments are enough as required.
The books that teachers follow is standard.

Dislikes

200 students for 1 lecture hall is not good.
The microscopes are quite old so few if them doesn't work.
The fees for manuals is high then needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is Really tough...its really hard to complete this vast syllabus in a year that is anatomy of whole body, biochemistry whole reactions and physiology whole processes that is physiological in nature.

Life at AMCH

Likes

The exposure is really good, the daily input of patients is large
The campus is big and it is bigger than most medical colleges.
It is one of the oldest medical college of the county and the oldest medical college of the whole northeast India.

Dislikes

It is located in upper Assam so connectivity becomes an issue for AIQ students
The classroom could have be bigger than the actual size

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is not at all easy like all the other courses but since this course deals with life and death situations I would say the practical applications introduction has lead to a better side of this course. This course is completedly real world based curriculum. The faculty members are well equipped to everything they teach and the methods currently focus on application based studies. This course has many exams each month and therefore the student has to study properly.

India contains the world's largest population. But of course the healthcare is not that much upgraded. Gauhati Medical College is one of the pioneers in establishing goid healthcare facilities in northeast India. It teaches and qualifies doctors with excellent capabilities. Every doctor is on their quest for serving the mankind.

Likes

I like the way to education it provides.
The sports and other things are also amazing

Review of GMCH

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a doctor so that I could cure people and help them to get rid of various diseases. The faculty: student ratio is approx 1:4 The faculty are highly qualified with MBBS, MD, MS, DM, March, and various other degrees done by them. The teaching process includes lectures in the classroom with the help of smart slides. Almost every month there are exams but there are internals every 3 months and finally the finals. Medical study is one of the toughest courses to pass as we need to know about a lot of different things all at once

My Experience of my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course educational plan is extremely adjusted and organized.There are both practical as well ase theory classess daily , also clinic postings from 4th semester onward. The course educational program is organized so that it covers the all of them. Usually the faculty of a medical colleges are doctors. In this college also teachers cum doctors teaches us in a very unique ways, they Highly experienced doctors. They tell the students about the tough surgeries they have performed, guide them and help the students with their internships.

Great college for MBBS in Assam

You've to clear NEET-UG to get into our college. SMCH is one of the top medical colleges in Assam. My first preference during counseling was SMCH but I got rejected in 1st counseling. But eventually got it in the 2nd counseling. I choose SMCH because it's nearest to my house and locality.
