What Students Say

Likes

Teachers behaviour and knowledge they are very humble they clarifying all our doubts. Students feel free there teachers take of students very well
Cultural activities like algorithm which a music jam it's really fun . All the students enjoy very much . Also programs like ethnic day are really fun

Dislikes

Hostel facilities their is no washing machine students have to wash their own clothes
Fashion team they are really mean everybody hates them never join fashion team it's really weird

Course Curriculum Overview

Well AI is in the boom right now and moreover the school where I studied had these robotics classes which fascinated me a lot and also influenced me to take AIML . The college has good staff but the problem is as c programming , python and Java are Important subjects the students coming from pcmb background face difficulties to understand these subjects and teachers don't bother to explain from the start

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Can't say much about it as I'm Still in 1 sem we are not exposed to anything like that . But I have seen so many of my seniors getting internships from Infosys, TCS etc I don't know much about the projects but there are internship opportunities available

Placement Experience

3.5

I'm still in 1st year so I can't say much about this but college claims 100% placements . All the highest paid packages like Adobe and Amazon the students got it through off campus but the avg package is 10 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

Well I'm here through cet so I pay 100000 per year as I fall under general category I don't get any kind of scholarships . If you come here through management quota it's very expensive it's somewhere around 8 to 9 lakhs per year for CSE stream and it differs with different branches

Campus Life

It's a really good college. They host so many cultural programs which helps in socializing. They host ethnic day , several fests , sports meet , music jam etc . It's fun here in rns may it be people ,teachers, seniors, everyone. Everyone's fun. It has several clubs like cultural club , English club , music club , dance club , classical dance club etc

Hostel Facilities

1.5

To be honest hostel is not worth paying 100000 per year because when you compare facilities provided by hostel to pg . Pg are way better and that too at very low price. Hostel food is preety good and the message is hygienic. Rooms given for first year students are 4 sharing while for 2nd and 3rd year students it's 3 sharing and the washroom are very small can't even take showers in washroom attached to main room they are very small no hot water supply in attached washroom for hot water have to go to common washroom which aren't very clean enough. Overall hostel facilities don't match the fee they demand.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

The admission process was pretty smooth but the college doesn't provide any list of documents that are supposed to be submitted. I got into college through cet exam the cutoff for CSE+AIML was 15000 for general merit but my ranking was 17000 because of reservation I got that seat with this ranking . Time given for each exam is 1 minute for 1 question i.e 60 it minutes for one subject . It is difficult in its own way but not harder than jee and neet

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Likes

very first thing i like in the college is the wifi network,
the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

Course Curriculum Overview:

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

We have a temporary campus .which was taken as rent in goverment engeneering college raichur .and permanent campus was yet to finish by the time juniors come the permanent campus will be getting finished.just needed the proper campus no improvments
The campus life was not as expected by a student because here the cluns are not very active like in any other colleges , u can enjot a lot with your friends in your hostel.
Every branch has a faculty adviser we can meet them and discuss our problems with them .the faculry were very good they were well experienced ,they teach in general way as any teacher does on a digital board.

Dislikes

The placement cell is not that good , the students were not getting places for good amount of package as expected .
The labs were not well maintained that should be resolved that is the main problem in this college as well as library we have a very small library which is in a size of a regular class
Hostel was not within the campus which makes some difficulty to walk through the streets with roaming buses and cars and bikes , in our college boy girl ration was very less it is 1: 7 like that.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for taking interships and they get placed in 7th semester and have to leave campus after 8th semester the highest would somewhere aroubd 20 lpa and avg would be 9 to 10 lpa . I plan to do Mtech in any reputed college by writing gate . The percentage of studebts getting placed are 70 %
