- I dislike the attendance system which requires us to have 75% attendance and its very hard to get a medical leave for a genuine reason.

Course Curriculum Overview
The Course I am in is Computer Scienece engineering with specialisation in information Secuirty. Even though the course was my third choice during the orientation session i was ready to opt for it. Currently I'm in my 2nd year and am fluent in Python, C Programming and Java which they thought us in the 1st , 2nd and 3rd semesters respectively. I believe the class is too crowded and the faculty cannot control the class properly. The exam is moderately difficulty except for the math courses which I believe is at times way too hard for the students to cope with.
Placement Experience
Since I am in my 2nd year, placement haven't taken place for me. But I have heard from my seniors that the Campus has 100% placement record. Most of the companies that arrive here are Bangalore based companies like Infosys, TCS etc. The average package in the Campus is 9LPA and the minimum package through college placements is 3 LPA. The highest I believe was known to be 2Cr recieved by 2 students by some Japanese company. After getting a degree I am planning on going for My masters in a foreign country.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for my course is 300000 per year apart from my hostel and mess fee. My hostel is 6 bedded AC room which is 140000 INR and my mess is special mess which is 80000 - 90000 INR per annum. The complete cost for my education will be somewhere around 24 Lakhs for all 4 years including tuition , mess and hostels. I have not received any campus scholarships or any financial aids from the college.
Campus Life
The Campus life here is very vibrant and exiting. There is a club for every language groups like Malayalam, Tamil , Marathi, Telugu , Hindi , Kannada , Tulu etc. I am part of a NGO called " The Becoming I Foundation " which concentrates on helping the poor and needy children in our city [ Vellore ]. The Campus has 2 main festivals named Reviera and Gravitas. These two festivals contain everything in them. Like sports , Tech Fests and many more. The College is pretty technologically advanced as the attendance system for most classes is fingerprint.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for 6 bedded AC room with special mess. Special mess is a combination of both veg and non veg. The Quality of food is excellent in all messes. The registration for your hostels every year depends upon your rank based on CGPA. The Facilities provided in a hostel room are :- 1 bed , 1 cupboard , 1 chair ,1 study table , 1 fan , 1 attached AC. I have never rented a room outside the campus and am not planning to do it.
Admission
The admission form was available in thier official website and so was the timings and venue for the VITEEE exam. Since I was an NRI student I wrote my exam in Dubai. My rank was 44000 and I was able to register for the orientation session and was able to recieve category 3 in Computer Science Engineering with specialisation in Information Security. My Exam took place for about 2-3 hours and was moderate in difficulty. I believe they can improve the admission process by being more transparent in the orientation session.
