Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The main reason I took chemical engineering at NIT Warangal was due to my interest in chemistry though it's not completely related and decent placement statistics. The course curriculum was very planned so that the students can gain the required knowledge and be prepared for real world experiences. Most of the faculty are very well experienced and approachable. The examination pattern includes two minor exams for 30 marks, one mid semester exam for 30 marks and one end semester exam for 40 marks, the marks are tentative. The grading is relative. The exams are not so tough, proper attention will get us enough marks

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship opportunities are offered on campus in third of our under graduation. Generally students with good cgpa get such opportunities ( cgpa>8). Compared to the placements, internships opportunities are a bit less. Companies like ITC, p and g, reliance(30k), ExxonMobil(35k), tata steel (30k)and some other software companies offer internships. The minimum stipend is around 15-20k. ITC offers the highest stipend.

Placement Experience

4

The campus placements are good. Almost 80% of the students get placed. The students will have on campus internship drive in third year and placement drive in the final year. Packages with package upto 50 lpa are offered. Companies like BPCL, reliance, vedanta, ExxonMobil, adani, Dr Reddy's, L and T etc visit our campus for chemical engineering placements. Famous software companies like Microsoft, oracle, samsung placements are also offered. The average package of the college is around 12 lpa and chemical engineering branch average is around 10 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is 62500rs for a semester for general category students. Students can apply for few reimbursement in two categories by providing the necessary income certificate. Students in families with income between 1-5 lac should pay half of the semester fee. Students with income below 1 lac won't have any tuition fee. All students must pay the hostel fees which is 17000rs. Additionally 10,000rs are collected every odd semester for other activities and fests. In case of securing cgpa> 8.5, students get merit scholarship and the tuition fees is reimbursed

Campus Life

4

The college has 2 major fests one cultural ( spring spree) held in april and one technical ( technozion) held in December. Other club events and activities happen frequently. Clubs like music club, dance and dramatics club hold events frequently. Innovation garage is a famous start up club. We have a good enough central library with both offline and online resources. The classrooms almost use projectors for teaching. There are many clubs in which you can enroll based on your interests. The social life is decent. All the clubs are run by students. We have an average stadium for sports and indoor complex for badminton and gym.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostels are alloted according to the year of study. For first year students it is 1.8 k hostel, second year students it's old blocks, for third and final year students it's 1k hostel. Every room has cupboards, a fan and a deak. The hostel is not so good, just an average hostel. You should adjust a bit in hostel. The food is provided in the mess, there are different food courts like IFC A,B,C. The food quality is also not so good. The mess fees is collected for every 15 days and it's not mandatory to take.

Admission

The admission for colleges like NIT Warangal is throughout JEE MAIN exams. You need to get the qualifying marks for getting the seat. For general category the cutoff was 16030. My rank was 21990. I got my seat through OBC reservation, the cutoff was 5900 and my rank was 5000. The counseling for the colleges took place on JOSAA website. I got my seat in NIT Warangal in first round. After securing the seat, we were asked to submit our documents like 10th and 12th memo, caste reservation certificate for the respective reservation and income certificate in case of availing any financial benefits. The JEE MAINS exams happens tow times in a year. Generally in January and March. The exam is tough, full-fledged coaching is required and proper reading of NCERT books is required.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is relevant because we are not just studying theory all the time. Along with regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects and problem solving which actually feels useful. It feels like the course is designed to help us build skills that we will need later not just clear semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before joining I thought it would be like any other engineering college where we just study for exams. But after coming here, I felt it's a bit different. We do have theory classes, but there are also coding sessions, projects and assignments almost every week. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but I think it's actually helping us learn better. The syllabus feels relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has been a nice mix of theory and practical work. We don't just sit through lectures all day there are coding sessions, projects, assignments, and hands on activities that make the subjects easier to understand. It feels like you are learning skills that you'll use later. One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments or small projects. That change keeps things interesting.

Placement Experience:

I think IN-campus Placements are the best thing that this college may offer. This is one of the top college in Telangana so almost every top company gives a chance to this college companies like Cisco, Insfosys, TCS, Cognizent, Accenture and many more. The highest package is 34LPA last year 2024, and the average is 7LPA i think.I think almost 60 to 70 percentage of people get place in the companies.I plan to get place in the top most comnmpany in the Telanagana after getting degree.
